Excellent doc
Just wanted take time to appreciate Dr Wan. He’s currently treating my bladder cancer and has kept me going for 2-3 years with treatment. He also follows my son. He’s caring, spends time discussing treatment and really addresses the issues and gets results. Hope you never need a cancer doc, but if you do, he’s the best!

Terrible. the worst specialist ever
I saw this doctor a total of 3 times. I will never go back. he keeps doing the same labs over again to “see me in 3 months” literally talks to me a totalOf 5 mins over the phone and gives me no information as to why my platelet count is high. Im done with him. Told him i wanted more labs he doesnt care. Definitely just in it for money & numbers. Didn’t address my concerns. Thanks for your help “doctor”

Worst experience I've ever had with a Dr
I was told I need a specific medicine/treatment. When I asked what that was, he condescended to me and told me without a degree in immunology I could never understand. He then insulted my last two doctors by saying they did not provide correct treatment and/or were older and not knowledgeable. He repeated that he couldn't answer questions until I had a degree or did more research into biology/immunology. My insurance denied the treatment and he denied a peer-to-peer review. Insurance sent me a note explaining treatment was denied because he did not pick the treatment he told me but a derivative of it. When discussing the denied insurance request, he repeatedly said I think you need it and it is best for you but insurance does not and I feel... He is my doctor. His "feelings" are medical advice. I've never felt so disrespected by a doctor. He is the least patient centered doc I've ever met. Perfect doc for you if you want to be treated as a number rather than a person.

We are so happy to have found Dr Wan. He has been instrumental in helping my mother with her breast cancer. Other physicians in the area had dismissed her case. Dr Wan was clear from the start and communicated very well with us. He was very professional and honest about what could and could not be done. Dr Wan is patient, kind, and always gives us hope. Thanks to him, my mother is in remission! She always has a lifted spirit when seeing his team. The team of nurses and office staff are so very helpful and friendly. It’s very clear that the patient is always the focus of care at this doctors office.

I find Dr. Wan highly intelligent and highly skilled as a Hematologist. He has excellent "bedside manner" so to speak. He gave me the proper amount of time to discuss my case & concerns. He spent extra time with me to relate how far I have come along during the past 3 years that I've been with him; that discussion has made a large effect on me to encourage me to redouble my efforts with my medical case. After seeing 2 other physicians in the area and having been misdiagnosed with infection for 6 months, Dr Wan evaluated and diagnosed the blood disorder with more extended testing that the other physicians did not evaluate. He is very interactive, listens, and explains things very well. I was able to understand his explanations despite the complexity of the blood disorder.

Dr Wan was very informative. He worked very well with our team of physicians in creating a treatment plan that my husband and I were very comfortable with. He truly takes his time to explain the condition, treatment options and even gives cites references to help us understand. His staff are wonderful at the Huntley office! He is very good at communicating, explaining, and coordinating care. He has a very good knowledge of breast cancer and we are very grateful for his expertise!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and seen by Dr Wan. He spends a lot of time with his patients. He did with me. He was very thorough, answers all questions and addressed all my concerns. Thanks to Dr Wan and the wonderful Northwestern Kish cancer center staff, I made it through chemotherapy and am doing very well. I will always be thankful and appreciative of the care I was shown. I would definitely recommend Dr Wan and his staff. They were a light at a very dark time in my life!

Was treating my wife for small cell lung cancer, he is a fast talker and knows everything so listen to what he says. he used false statistics when discussing immune based therapy treatment with my wife, made it sound more effective than it really was. He talked her into the second round of immune based therapy which she had and two days later when we went for an appointment he stated that she was to weak for a treatment, that was the last time we saw him. treated her more like a lab rat.
