Failed Surgery
What was supposed to be a biopsy, turned into a twelve inch incision down my abdomen. Sent me to an oncologist. No cancer. A year and a half later I was at the Mayo Clinic for major reconstruction abdominal surgery to repair 3 large hernias as a result of the first surgery. Dr Parks was outside of his expertise and failed to recognize it.

Horrible experience
my experience with this man was horrible! He told me he was 95% sure I had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma because he couldn’t read my blood test right. And why I was getting prepped for surgery he told me I had to have a bone marrow biopsy the next day. He never even checked on me after my surgery. And instead of scrapping my lymph node he removed the whole thing. And the weird part was the only time cancer came up was if the other surgeon or Dr’s from the hospital I was at weren’t in the room. My sister had to record it because she thought it was weird. The sad part was I had mono I didn’t even have cancer. A good “Dr” would be able to tell the symptoms of mono. Clearly this man is not a good “Dr” I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN.

Terrible bedside manner and gives very vague information. I was definitely treated as a lesser patient because I did not have a complicated surgery. My concerns and fears were met with rudeness and condescending attitudes.

Dr. Parks placed my port for chemo. The surgery went very smoothly. Pre-surgery, he was excellent at answering my questions and carefully explained everything to me and my family. Dr. Parks took his time and showed compassion when I was having difficulty taking in my diagnosis.
