Dr. Alan Matarasso, MD

After 15 years I decided to have a 2nd face lift, and I went to Dr. Matarasso again, as for me, I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I live out of state, and I had my consultation in a video meeting with Dr. Matarasso, who thoroughly went over and explained the entire procedure so there would be no surprises. We discussed what types of procedures would give me the best outcome. He is very meticulous, we decided on a face lift, neck lift and some laser work. I then worked with the wonderful office staff, Kelly and Dr Matarasso’s nurse Stephanie were wonderful to work with. Everything went smoothly, and I am extremely happy with the end result. Now everyone keeps asking me how I just look so refreshed. I did not want to look 20 years younger, I wanted to look great for my age, and that was certainly accomplished. I would absolutely recommend Dr Matarasso without any reservations.

I can not say enough about Dr. Matarasso and the entire staff that works with him. My experience from the moment I walked into the office through today (6.5 weeks post surgery) has been beyond my greatest expectations. I felt incredibly comfortable and well taken care of every step of the way. Upon arriving for my consultation I was handed literature which walked me through exactly what would be happening in my consultation. Dr. Matarasso is very particular and has requirements of who takes photos, staying at a hotel, having a private duty nurse, etc. etc. and they are ALL his people (part of his team) and I am so grateful for all of those things that I needed to do because they were so helpful. I couldn't have asked or wished for more or a better experience. I am THRILLED with my results and with the entire staff and team. I would do it again in a heartbeat and I wouldn't change a thing.

I went to Dr Matarasso to have my Brest implants removed and a rhinoplasty. I am thrilled with my results ! I was not worried about anything. Besides Dr. Matarasso being a top skilled surgeon, he also is a very honest and caring individual. He spent time going over the details of my procedures addressing any concerns or question I may have had. The combination of Dr. Matarasso and his office team is an exception combo. From my initial phone call to the office till my post surgery office visit, I was taken excellent care of by his staff. I am 4 weeks out from a facelift with Dr. Matarasso and all I can say is the results are amazing and the entire pre and post surgery experience was very positive, both with Dr. Matarasso and his staff. The surgery was the best decision I ever made.....and I am grateful that Dr. Matarassso helped me achieve all of my goals. He was so thorough and answered all of my pre-op questions and concerns both kindly and with sensitivity. He explained in great detail everything he was going to do and was very patient with my anxieties! Of course, his work is second to none, he is an artist, and my face looks so amazing. I have had surgery “work done” by Dr. Matarasso as well as family members work is stellar. Of course we all needed/wanted different surgeries. Since my husband is a teaching surgeon he sees in the OR & knows who is a gifted surgeon and who is not. I learned that he is the president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. It is a coveted position. To attain this you must be highly respected by your peers voted on & I am not surprised he is the recipient of President. During a sports game, there was a collision. A nose was badly bent; I saw pictures, yikes it was awful. Now it's perfect.Dr. Matarasso’s personality (I only write this for you since I don’t care about personalities I care about surgical ability) is kind and caring before and after surgery.I know I shouldn’t write this (sorry Dr. M.) there’s a back door for celebrities. I never used it, I had to find out about it myself. If it’s good enough for them it's good enough for me. Good luck in your search.

I wanted to do a rhinoplasty and Dr. Matarasso was recommended to me by many friends. After consulting with a few surgeons it was an easy decision to go with Dr. Matarasso. The consult was very informative and I left the office confident moving forward with the procedure. The staff at the office are amazing as well, they helped me with all the paperwork and preparation I needed for the surgery and answered all of my questions. I was able to have my surgery just a few weeks after my consult, which is usually hard to do with all the prep needed. The recovery was easy and I barely had any bruising. The first time I saw my new nose I was so happy that it came out exactly how I wanted. I’m now one year post op and I can’t be happier, my nose looks perfect!!

I'm in my 60's and decided after years to see if it was possible to get face, eyes, nose plastic surgery accomplished in one surgical session of course like everyone else I wanted great results too.  The only independent non ad supported resource I could find to guide me was Newsweek's 2022 ranking of top plastic surgeons in the US. It reminds me of US News and World report on hospitals. Previously being on a board for a top 5 hospital for many years I can attest the US World report was taken serious, I imagine Newsweek's plastic surgery rankings are taken as seriously in New York City's plastic surgery community.  In Newsweek rankings only one surgeon is ranked in the top 10 for the 5 procedures Newsweek covers... Newsweek ranking is for the entire country not just New York.  That surgeon is Dr Matarasso, the surgeon I chose.  Here's what I wanted to share: There are only a few doctors in New York City that do Face/Nose/Eyes during one surgery session. It's very complex surgery as I've been told only a few have mastered this three in one procedure.  One of my finalist would only do a slight change to the nose. He was so quick he missed I had a deviated septum.. he also needed 8 hours to do a 4 hour procedure. Yes he said 8 hours.  The other very well respected surgeon does multiple cases a day. So if you're like me. you don't want to be the second patient, or be the first and have another doctor finish your procedure, which is what I uncovered how he's able to do multiple complex procedures in a day.  I hope this was helpful, I'm six weeks out my family loves the fact I'm still me, and I'm happy being a much younger version. His office has a peerless office manager in Kim, and outstanding nurse in Stephanie

Dr Matarasso is an incredibly talented plastic surgeon! I am so happy he had performed my rhinoplasty. He gave me a very natural look and can not tell I had nose surgery. He had given me a realistic view before the surgery of what he is able to do.L and it came out perfect! His staff is extremely helpful and friendly and they leave you feeling comfortable and confident l. His nurse also answered all my questions after surgery as well as before I highly recommend him as he is the best in his field!

Dr. Matarasso & his team of experienced, warm, professional staff provided an amazing experience from the first phone call. My husband & I were getting face & body procedures together & we were referred to Dr. M by a friend who used his services a few times. We immediately saw that Dr. M was a masterful artist with a tasteful, sophisticated eye. His recommendations for what we wanted to achieve did precisely that. I’m 47 & I had my nose done, buccal fat pads removed & lipo under my chin. My husband is 64 & had his upper & lower eye lids done, an extended neck lift & lipo to the chest area. We are ecstatic with the results. My profile is beautiful & looks like it was always there. My jawline is distinct, handsome & masculine. My husband looks refreshed, energetic & naturally youthful. All credit goes to Dr. Matarasso and his brilliant ability to listen to his patient's wishes, be realistic with what he can do, advise to ensure the result will be age-appropriate, and stay away from radical changes that will be noticeable. No one can tell I had anything done. When they ask why I look refreshed and my skin glows without many wrinkles, I tell them my final divorce papers arrived on April 11th, and I’ve never been happier in my life - stress-free and relieved! So, my sage advice when you’re my age…… is the Master Matarasso!

Dr. Matarasso is a caring, meticulous expert in his field. I presented with a very difficult case that was going to be an extensive operation. I suffered a fall that ruptured one of my 35 year old breast implants. I was anxious to see a doctor who was familiar with the type of implant I had. I knew it was going to be difficult to remove and replace these. He carefully explained the procedure and what he may be faced with. I am now one week post-op and am astounded by the results. He promised he would make my breasts better than before and he did! The entire staff was wonderful to work with. They actually worked me into his schedule due to the severity of my rupture.
