Dr. Gotesman is absolutely amazing
Dr. Gotesman is absolutely amazing! He performed a procedure on my finger with such skill and precision. His calm and knowledgeable approach immediately put me at ease, and I knew I was in the best hands. The staff was just as incredible—friendly, professional, and truly caring. Helene, in particular, was beyond helpful in every way!The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and handled with the utmost care. If you're looking for a true mensch, someone you can trust completely, Dr. Gotesman is the one. I highly recommend him and his fantastic team!

Office Visit
Had a very sore thumb which was slightly disfigured from arthritis. Needed a shot, bone-on-bone, which I knew would be very painful. Dr. Gotesman confirmed it would be painful. Gave me a shot,to numb it but did not wait for it to take effect.

I would not recommend Dr. Gotesman for hand surger
Dr. Gotesman treated me 2 times with injections for a trigger finger. After several months, he told me I needed surgery, a trigger finger release. He performed this on Oct. 26, 2023. While I was in recovery, he informed my husband that it went well & he removed additional tissue in my palm. Prior to surgery, no x-rays were taken & I was never informed of this tissue. I requested to see Dr. Gottesman after 1 week, thinking it was infected. He said it wasn’t &removed the stitches. My hand & finger were throbbing, severely swollen & keeping me up at night. I requested to see him after 3 weeks & he looked at the site & told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to heal. The additional tissue removed was “in his way”. He never explained that I had tissue which can cause Dupuytrens Contracture. It has been more than 9 weeks post surgery. I’m still in pain, have large scar, numbness in the finger, swelling & difficulty moving the finger. My experience with Dr. Gotesman was very dissatisfying.

Amazing!
I came for a prescription for custom orthotics, Dr. Gotesman was in my room immediately, I got X-rays, and spoke to the doctor again all within 20 minutes. The exam was thorough and Dr. Gotesman and all of his staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommended!

Horrible. The doctor is abrupt, rude, and uncaring. He spent less than 30 seconds with my daughter and documented for half of that time. His office staff is nasty and disrespectful. They don’t show an ounce of compassion and care only about money. They don’t even lift their eyes from their paper. I never had such a bad experience in a doctor’s office. They provided misinformation and then blame the patient. I hope no one ever has to come here. I would give zero stars but that is not an option.

Highly skilled orthopedic surgeon. My son had an accident with a deep gash in his palm completely cutting through two ligaments and partially cutting the median nerve. Using microsurgery, Dr. Gotesman repaired the ligaments and the median nerve. My son has full function of his hand today. Highly recommend this surgeon.

Dr. Gotesman did not wear a mask to protect himself or me from the Corona Virus. He was very rough in his injection in my knee and only used an alcohol swap to clean the area wile the previous injections by other Docs in his practice used iodine while thoroughly cleaning the joint area before giving the injection. Had bleeding from the site which I had not had with previous shots.

I felt so comfortable talking with Dr Gotesman that I decided to let him do surgery for my trigger thumb this coming December. He listened to everything I had to say and was not in a rush and he explained everything to me in detail. So glad I found him.

After taking a nice trip over a guardrail while riding my motorcycle in Harriman Park/Bear Mountain, both my radius and ulna were fractured in multiple locations. Without Dr. Gotesman and his performing emergency surgery, I could have easily lost my arm or at best suffered irreparable nerve damage. Would 100% recommend him to any of my friends or family members (and I have) should they be in need of orthopedic care/services.

I can not say enough about this doctor. He takes the time with you to explain everything and makes sure you have the answers to all of your questions. He is very professional and also very nice. He did surgery on both of my knees and took the time to sit with my husband and explain what went on and how I was doing. Would recommend anyone to him.

Dr. Gotesman was great. He was very kind, thoughtful, and thorough. He explained everything about my injury and what he was going to do to fix the problem. He gave me his realistic opinion of my recovery, which I appreciated. I tore 3 ligaments in my wrist, had a slight fracture, and dislocated the lunar bone in my thumb. He did such a good job that he was shocked by how well my wrist recovered. I would recommend Dr. Gotesman to anyone with a wrist injury.
