I did a telehealth for a persistent dry barking cough (something I’ve personally never experienced before and was nervous about) dr cherney was very dismissive and asked if I had any “real concerning symptoms”. When I asked about a possible med interaction with otc cough syrup and a current medication I take, he told me to google it. He was super rude and made me feel stupid for seeking out medical attention for something I was concerned about.

I came into the ER with an abcess in my tongue from 5 days ago and info that MORE liquid came out today, accompanied by a lot of pain and a new growth. I have a history of dental issues and have had 8 teeth pulled so far by the age 26 because of my oral issues Dr.Alan Cherney checked my tongue for literally a couple seconds, told me the procedure for an abcess was to drain it so I was fine, did not tell me what the rest of the liquid could be that came out days later, did not tell me what the new spot could be, and I asked for scans or imaging that I know they have available and he said no. This is incredibly negligent behavior, what caused the abcess? Why is there still liquid if it was all drained? If the new bump is not a big deal tell me that it might just go away or what may have caused it amidst the issues I am having. My abcess could only be partially drained or have spread. I am just a single instance of his consistant lack of care and professionalism. I have never seen a Dr. with 1 star on every review site and I can attest that he is just as negligent to his patients health history and how they effect current issues in person.

He acts like you’re not worthy of any evaluation in the ER unless your leg is hanging off and you’re actually already dead. Not sure he’d even start CPR then though. Would probably tell you to go see your primary for it. This guy definitely got MD license from the back of a Cereal box. He’s a terrible provider that I don’t think any practice should have around, especially the ER as an “attending”. Scary.

My minor child saw Dr. Cherney at Jefferson Urgent Care Center and he provided the worst patient experience ever. He diagnosed my child with acne despite informing him that this ailment was an issue in the past and required a medicated shampoo. Dr. Cherney's response/advice was "I'm an ER doctor, I treat acute patients. I've been doing this for 5 years and work here a few times a month. I have never written a prescription for a shampoo. You need to visit a primary care physician."

I saw Dr Cherney in urgent care at Jefferson and he provided the worst patient experience I have ever had. I am a doctor and was previously affiliated with Jefferson and he did not even address me by name or enter the room knowing what I was in for despite holding the chart. His evaluation took less than 1 minute, he did not offer to answer questions and handed me a prescription without any information on what it was for. No physical evaluation or legitimate assessment was ever performed.
