Excellent physician
Never feel rushed or stressed with Dr Brown. He takes time to explain, educate and understand you as a person - not just a patient. I’m sad he’s retiring but happy that he’s retiring.

Dr. Brown always listens and answers questions
I never feel rushed when I see Dr. Brown. I am seeing him because I am at higher risk and I want to avoid a heart attack. He always takes me seriously and is truly a partner in trying to keep me healthy. He never makes me feel rushed and he has provided me very clear answers to all my questions. Some specialists do not take you seriously if you aren't very sick but he is very happy that I am trying to prevent the heart attacks that the rest of my family has had at a young age. He is everything you could ask for in a doctor. He is also funny and kind and an animal lover. I feel he genuinely cares about his patients. If you want a doctor to partner with to improve your cardiovascular health, he is the best.

I have been seeing Dr. Brown for over 24 years. He is the best and the reason I am still walking around today! He has always been attentive and responsive to questions and concerns. Always considers the person as a whole and shows concern for other aspects of their life. Great doctor and a great man!

Dr. Brown is an excellent cardiologist and a good friend. As a cardiologist myself, I consider him as a doctor's doctor. He has taught many other cardiologists, has a very positive attitude, and goes beyond to help his patients (getting things done fast). This is the same attitude that he tries to convey as a mentor to other cardiologists. It is very rare to find such a caliber of physician (possibly the best in Chicagoland). The advocate system is extremely lucky to have him (and i think they know that). When evaluating a physician, patients should also consider what other doctors think about that physician.

I have been seeing Dr. Brown for around 15 yrs. He is the primary reason that I have not had a heart attack and am still very active. Dr. Brown is a good listener and readily answers any questions. He has an excellent communication style. I trust Dr. Brown and his expertise implicitly.

Very arrogant and condescending to women. I felt very uncomfortable in his presence. I will never return. He is not open minded to anything but very traditional care.

Very nice doctor, really liked him after my first visit, he should get 5 stars BUT be aware YOU will be billed for seeing the doctor and YOU will be billed separate for the room in which you will see him by Lutheran Hospital. They will bill you as a hospital outpatient service not a doctor/specialist visit and a doctor visit . So instead of paying my $ 50.00 copay im billed $ 300.00 for 30 minutes visit.
