Very Poor Customer Service
I would not refer anyone here. The office staff is not professional at all. Not only were they short with you in communication skills, but they do not respect the customer's needs. There are signs all over the place stating #1 every year, So I'm thinking this will be great. Not At All. Each visit they were 30 to 60 min behind. My time is just as important as theirs. I was told I had to wait approx 3 weeks on my insurance company for approval before the study could be done. When I called 3 wks later to question the status. I was told Oh you can schedule your study you don't need a pre-approval. Then to be told the follow up to read the results would be a date 3 months out. I said unacceptable! I was told I have severe sleep apnea and need to schedule another test. Need to get another pre-approval. Went through the song and dance again to confirm with my insurance company that no one has called since the last call and no approval is needed again. They need to hire/train new people.

Disappointed
i hesitated posting a review because I remember how it used to be & I guess I was hoping it would improve. It has not, nor has he. His office staff never return phone calls, there is no patient portal in which you can communicate. If you do get a human, they put you on hold, and never return. (I waited 20 minutes last time). During my visit, I shared my concern of wearing a mask that would keep me safe at work, that I can breathe through. I explained I wore a surgical mask there because I knew that everyone would be masked, but at my work, nobody will be masked & I need to breathe. He told me to double the surgical. I said, but then we come back to the point that I cannot breathe well. I cannot even make it to my desk without ripping the mask off, & if I do, then I expose myself to hundreds of college kids who are NOT masked. I explained that I wanted to remain teleworking - he went off on a personal rant about Americans not wanting to work & how he wished he could work from home.

Dr. Mortazavi is Top Notch Pulmonary Specialist
Dr. Mortazavi saved my dear mother’s life. I am eternally grateful to him and his outstanding staff. Dr. Mortazavi is extremely knowledgeable, deeply caring, and has the utmost professional demeanor. I highly recommend Dr. Mortazavi to anyone with pulmonary problems, sleep disorders and COPD. He is simply the best doctor. He listens, gives superior advice, is trustworthy, and is always accommodating to his patients. I know firsthand, because I was also one of his patients along with my mother.

While I cannot comment on Mortazavi's medical experience, my view of the admin office portion of the practice is decidedly negative. Bad info, insolent behavior .. just terrible experience in attempting to set at appointment.

The doctor was not prepared, he did not have my file. I've been refered to his office by my phisician, his office called me to schedule the appointment and they did not request any document from my phisician. When I showed up to the appointment, the doctor did not know why I'm there. He did not find anything in the file. When I told him are you sure? he yelled at me "Do you think I'm lying" I told him this was a waste of time and I will not comeback here. He offended me all the way to the door and insulted me in front of all the patients and staff. I will never go back to this doctor. He should not be in charge of taking care of patients.

I know that Dr Mortazavi is very knowledgeable and good doctor but his front desk nurses and answering phone service is very poor. This because even if you are trying to make an appointment to see the doctor, it becomes difficult since you must stay on the phone for sometimes like 30 minutes without someone answering your call. For instance, if you can’t reach to the doctor or the people who supposed to take care of your medical record which is need for authorization for CT, then what is the point of going and wasting your time. The front desk person put you on hold for 8 to 10 minute and then before answering the phone it is hanged-up. To reach to one medical personal it will take you eight attempt of phone call and at least 30 minutes wait. In conclusion I can say that though their doctors are good, the services they render is disastrous and such situation prevent people from coming to their office. I will never go to this clinic this is the worst doctor office I have ever been to.

My husband has been a patient for several years-we think he is a marvelous dr. and highly recommend him. I would also like to compliment one person in his office staff, Megan. She is one in a million-always cheerful, goes out of her way to accomodate our needs, willing to help us in any way she can. She is a definite asset to his staff and should be recognized for it.
