Dr. Al Ghamgosar, DPM

My wife and I have been with Dr. Ghamgosar since 2020 and he has been very helpful to both of us with a number of different foot and ankle problems. He is engaged and effective but conservative in his recommendations and treatments. If one has an emergency, his office will fit you in for an evaluation on short notice. Note: : For just nail clipping, he schedules between appointments and one can usually see him on short notice. He does the clippings very quickly, so if you want a consultation, schedule an appointment.

I've seen Dr. Ghamgosar twice now to correct issues from a previous surgery. I found him to be well engaged during the discussion, informative with solutions, and did so in a rather short timeframe.

Dr. Ghamgosar is a very pleasant nice man, but I can only give him two stars because he did a very poor job of treating me. I have a regular podiatrist but went to see him to have my nails cut because I am in a wheelchair and my doctors office is hard to traverse. Dr. Ghamosar was recommended by several people at the acute care facility I am currently at. He did not do a new patient exam of any kind. He literally spent less than two minutes with me. He clipped my nails roughly causing me pain and did a very poor job, then carelessly used a grinder on them in a haphazard fashion, which also hurt. Then he rubbed some lotion on my feet and said someone will come in to help you in a minute and walked out. His staff is excellent, but he is careless in his work and apparently has no interest in getting new patients. I would never go back, nor would I recommend him to anyone. My regular podiatrist does it in under ten minutes, but never hurts me and always does an excellent job.

Went for ankle injury examination. Very brief/brusque discussion of options. Gave some practical recommendations and referred to physical therapy, etc but gave little insight as to what was happening overall.

Dr. G. is a serious Dr. and very direct. I had a Peroneal Brevis Tendon Surgery last April/2017 He was clear about the whole process. I followed everything he said to do. He did say it would take up to.year for full recovery. I think it’s amazing that I have a fully functioning right foot. I’m very grateful and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a very skilled surgeon. Warm & fuzzy, not so much. Serious and skilled, very much so. Thank You Dr. Ghamgosar !!

I would recommend Dr. Ghamgosar along with the colleague base of 50 S. San Mateo Drive, building, next door to Mills Hospital, for his professional presence, charm, demeanor with patients and a likelihood of good health to follow. Dr. Oloff, a sports orthopedist, was a second opinion, along with Dr. Richard Stone of Burlingame. I recommended Dr. Ghamgosar, through California Sports and Cyclery of Belmont, to follow. He was thorough and decisive. Diagnosed me quickly, treated me and scheduled a follow up in one visit. I was very impressed.

Wonderful surgeon! Smaller incision than my previous surgery with another doctor. Care was impeccable. Great overall experience.
