Dr. Ajoa Amankwaah, DO

My visit was a number of years ago. I was really impressed with the level of professional care & attention shown & given to me. I really appreciated being treated like a person not like a disease. She is, in my opinion, a great, caring, educator & through medical provider, that takes the time to not only examine & treats, but, also teaches her patients about themselves & how to care better for themselves. Thank you, Dr. A. Amankwaah, for just being you.

Making the appointment was difficult. You don't have enough staff at the call center when people need to call like mornings and lunchtime. The woman at the call center also wasn't friendly. In addition the staff at the doctors office front desk aren't friendly either. I love my doctor but my heat sank when I saw all the examination rooms. It felt yucky.

I get great care whenever I come to Virtua for Dr. Amankwaah. Thank you.

The only discouraging thing was appt 920 am Dr didn't see me till 950

Not only did this provider listen to your concerns, she offered good advice and asked if it would be considerable. She was very patient and I'm going to recommend her to my daughter.

Dr. Amankwaah is very nice. spends time with you and caring. I was happy how my visit went. she listens to everything I have to say about how I am feeling and is a great doctor.

My physician Dr.Ajoa Amankwaah, was very professional and thorough. She explained my test results, answered any questions that I might have and encouraged me to continue to exercise, eat right and make every effort to reduce my A 1 C level as well as continue to lose weight.

Dr A is an excellent FAMILY PHYSICIAN. Not only did she address my appointment but also inquired as to how my husband, also her patient, is doing. Most caring and recognizes how family interactions affect one's health and well being.

I find Dr. Amankwaah extremely proficient. I'm a nurse. She knows what she's doing, she's thorough, she cares about her patients. I cannot say enough about her, she's wonderful. I would give her name to anyone. Very impressed with her, and I'm not impressed with a lot these days, but I have always been impressed with her.

My doctor and her staff are very personable and attentive.

One of the best doctors I have ever had. She is very good at following up on your visits. She listens to everything you have to say and you never feel like you’re going to be pushed out the door any second. Heard report meant is very professional but yet friendly.

Doesn't respond to repeated calls from pharmacy for refills. Makes you come into the office to go over results. Only half listens she lifted my shirt without even telling me she was doing that. Gets me mixed up for another patient. i literally waited a month for my script to be filled since she called in teh wrong one. I swear she doesnt look at the patient's chart or list of meds provided at the time of the visit. I literlly waited an hour or more to see her since somehow she is tripled booked and noone is in the waiting room. If you have an issue (like i did) i contacted my health insurance to report her

I've never felt more heard by a doctor before. There is usually a more than normal wait, but it's because she's making sure everyone in her care is getting the time they need. She handles my thyroid for me so I don't need to see a separate endocrinologist. She really is the best.
