Dr. Ajay Gurbani, MD

I had ruptured my Achilles Tendon earlier this year and I had surgery by Dr. Gurbani. He was EXCELLENT. I healed quickly and I have 0 pain now. I was told by my physical therapist that this is the smallest scar he has ever seen from an Achilles Tendon surgery. I am able to run now pain free and I feel fantastic. I would highly recommend Dr. Gurbani for everything, especially an Achilles Tendon repair!

I had a fracture that a couple other doctors said they couldn’t do anything about. Dr gurbani was my last resort and he fixed it! I am so happy and now pain free. He was kind and answered all of my questions along the way!

…at the age of 56, that says a lot. Yet, I read the other reviews of Ajay Gurbani and wonder if I just caught him on a bad day-especially his praised bedside manner. I came in for a foot bump that causes me pain when I walk or when I’m on my feet for an extended time. After 5 X-Rays, I was told the toe position caused the bump. (Despite the fact that I had the bump for 2 years, & it only recently became an issue.) When I started to cry (because I’m going on a vacation where walking will be involved—I didn’t procrastinate, as insinuated. I didn’t think it would continue to hurt) he handed me a box of Kleenex & suggested a cream containing an NSAID. Incidentally, I have one kidney. NSAIDs are a no-no. I don’t know if he thought I was trying to get pain meds (again my chart discusses my inability to actually TOLERATE all opioids) and thus rude to me or he was apathetic. After he handed me the paper describing the NSAID cream, he walked out. That was it. Literally stunned. I won’t be back.

I was having so much pain at the bottom of my foot and saw so many specialists. I got varied advice. Dr Gurbani was so thorough and careful to explain the exact cause and what I could do to minimize the pain. He helped me come up with a plan to slowly improve my mobility and a short while later I’m happy to report I’m pain free! He is a miracle worker! He is also so patient and easy to talk to. I can tell that he really cared about making me feel better. I have so much respect for him and he is very obviously an expert! I highly recommend him to anyone who asks!

My mom fractured her heel bone and had to have surgery to repair the fracture as well as reattach her Achilles tendon to the bone. Dr. Gurbani is so professional, meticulous and genuinely cares for his patients. He patiently listened to my 81yr. old mother’s many questions and always respectfully and in detail answered & covered every concern we had. I was very confident in his ability to get the job done right based on our interactions with him, his credentials & his amazing bedside manner. The surgery was successful, and she’s recovering well. I would 100% recommend Dr. Gurbani if you have any orthopedic needs!

I went to see him after I saw another doctor who was not caring at all. That surgeon told me to walk on my broken foot, which was against all advice. Dr. Gurbani was careful, examined my foot, reviewed his xrays, and told me the exact time frame to be off my foot, not to walk on it, and how to transition to the next steps of walking on it. I had one question later, and he called me himself to answer my questions. Highly recommend.

Dr. Gurbani has excellent training and experience. I highly recommend him. He helped me get over my heel pain that was bothering me for months and months. Dr. Gurbani is truly a gem.
