I was a patient of Dr. Chen for 16 years but could not deal with her mother who is the receptionist. The final straw was when I called to make an appointment and she hung up on me. She is a rude nasty person and should not be dealing with patients. I've been yelled at by her and she has refused to make appointment 3 months in advance.

Like all of the previous reviews .. Beware of the receptionist .. Dr. Chen's Mother! What a rude rude woman! Never have I been treated so badly when it was completely uncalled for! It's very unfortunate because I like Dr. Chen and think she is competent and caring, but because of her mother I've decided to leave and find a new doctor. As much as I like Dr. Chen, I don't trust my records and appointment making with her receptionist.

Didn't have an experience with the doctor directly, only with her receptionist. She is the rudest person I have encountered. She should not be working at a doctor's office. She yelled at me, and in general was very hard to understand. I told her she was very nasty. With her working there, it is a wonder this doctor has any patients at all.

The doctor herself is very knowledgable & professional. The only issue I have is with the receptionist. she is awful. Her english is bad & I barely understand her & worse she barely understands me. My drs office faxed over referral 10x time & she insisted she never got it. She was rude & arguing with me. When the nurse from the back came out to ask what was happening she started yelling at the nurse to go away. The nurse checked the fax machine only to find out it the machine was jammed.

Dr. Chen has her mother wiring for her as a secretary. Her mother chases alot of patients away. Dr. Chen was never able to find the right combinations of diabetic medications to help me control my diabetes's. I went to her for years. She is the worst diabetic doctor I ever went to.
