Caring and Empathic
Dr. Khan is a miracle worker! We’ve seen a huge difference in our daughter’s mood and social functioning since she started seeing him 3 months ago. We’ve seen 4-5 our child psychiatrists/specialists before him, and he quickly got to the heart of the issue and helped us come up with a treatment plan for our child. We love his relatable way of engaging with our daughter that really brings her out of her shell. He’s also spent considerable time talking us through her diagnosis and the challenges that come with it. Best child psychiatrist in the Bay Area!

He's such a cool doctor!
My son thinks Ahmed is the coolest doctor he's ever met. It has been great for my wife and I, because he's a teen and we are just chopped liver...but having Ahmed around is just such a safety blanket because he LISTENS to him! The only issue is that he's a very popular guy and very in demand! 10 stars!

This is the worst psychiatrist ever
I was forced by a court to see him for mental health counseling, even when I was fully competent to choose someone better. There are social workers and psychiatrists charging $20 an hour or a little more than that. Dr. Khan ON A DISCOUNT charges $500 for 45 minutes, and $750 if not at a regular time!! If it wasn’t discounted, God knows it could be close to $1000 or more a session. He is completely ignorant, just leaves you in his office and talks like an average person on the street. Before I finally let him go, on one session I saw his computer flashing, meaning he might’ve even been playing video games, and just passively listening, knowing it’s easy to make a quick ton of money.

What could be improved
  • Difficult to schedule appointment

  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions
  • Long wait times
