Dr. Ahmad Shaban, MD

Dr Shaban is a professional, smart, thoughtful, and kind doctor. He perseveres until he finds an answer to your ailment or has no where to go with it. I had an unusual problem and he scheduled test after test in a more than timely manner. His office staff was helpful and courteous. The only staff member that did not meet office standards, in my opinion, was the main nurse during office visits. She was oddly unfriendly and cold, moreso than anyone I've ever encountered in a medical office setting. Likely just her personality.

Dr Shaban treated me 40 years ago when I was diagnosed with autoimmune liver disease which at the time was not very common. I was a young mother and very sick. When I miscarried in my second pregnancy the obgyn told me I should not try for more children due to the severity of my illness. I was crushed. During that hospital stay Dr Shaban notice my name on admission while doing his rounds and stopped in to check on me and told me “you absolutely can have more children, trust me” I did. Today I have 2 grown sons and 5 grandchildren and I always reflect on those few moments in time when a doctor took the time to comfort me and give me hope and changed the path of my life, and I am forever grateful to him.

Have been going to him for 20 years. Very good doctor and excellent procedure and knowledge.

He is my favorite doctor and one of my favorite people. Over the past 20 years, I have relied on he and his staff for a variety of treatments and procedures, some of them quite serious. He always performs to a high standard. I trust him completely and respect his commitment to his patients.

I have had two procedures with Dr. Shaban. He is wonderfully sensitive and highly intelligent. He was careful to fully answer all of my questions. Both procedures went very well. His staff was very helpful and polite. Ihighly recommend Dr. Shaban.

Dr Shaban is a wonderful gastroenterologist. I have seen him for 17 years. He is thorough, caring and an excellent doctor. I have sent several friends to him and all are pleased.

I went to the Doctor's office for an initial appointment, 11/14/16, for a colonoscopy. I waited for 1 1/2 hours and left without being seen by the doctor. The receptionist told me 3x during my wait that the doctor would see me in a few minutes. When I told her that I would need to re-schedule because I had to leave, she gave me a date weeks away - no apologies; no "sorry that you had to wait so long"; nothing. I am going to find another doctor; would not recommend Dr. Shaban given the above.

By far the worst receptionists in the office. They never let the doctors know I call and i have to repeatedly call to get answers and speak to the Drs. I drive far just to see dr Shaban and Lisa because they are great Drs but I will be finding a new Doctor after many times of being disappointed due to the staff. It's not how it used to be.
