Dr. Adrienne McGrael-Souders, MD

I’ve seen her over a decade on and off. I like her because she is intelligent and dedicated and listens to what I say with respect. She’s a lot more professional than doctors I’ve had at John Muir Center. I get what I need from her. Seems like a lot of folks think a doctor should be parental. I only want them to be professional and smart. Dr Souders is both.

This Dr. doesn't seem to come from personal experience. Everything I asked about, she would look up online (a very cold approach) and say, "What we usually recommend is..." and so forth, offering nothing from her own experience. (This, after 39 years in practice?) Also, her PA wrongly ordered a mail order Rx I did not ask for and the Dr. would not take responsibility and cover the cost (of something I could not return) or even admit a mistake had been made within her practice. The money loss was small, though noticeable at my low-income level, but I consider this behavior most unkind. I've reported it to Sutter but have never had a response. Nobody cares. I haven't been back to see this Dr. and will not. I'm in the process of shopping for somebody good, which doesn't seem easy at Sutter. I know of one very good Dr. who has left the organization, and I may decide to follow that lead.
