Great experience
Dr. Wendy Askew is amazing! She’s kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her patients. Her staff is so friendly and made me feel right at home. She’s helping with my veins—not just to relieve pain, but to make them look better too. I’m so glad I found her!

Great Doctor
I have been a patient of Dr. Askew for about 10 years. I saw her at IWH and then followed her to Dr. Rogers Centers. She is a busy doctor and I don't mind waiting for her. Sometimes you just have to wait. She answers my questions and she makes small talk which calms my nerves. Thank you Dr. Askew. Keep up the good work and take care.

I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and I don’t think I’ve ever encountered so much arrogance and ignorance from a doctor. I read Dr Askew’s notes after my 1st visit and she made some big assumptions without viewing 10 years worth of old labs and before running new ones. She stated I looked like a “heavy user” on her notes regarding my hormone therapy history which is FALSE (hello…PCOS). She needs to do her job instead of passing judgement. I was there seeking medical help, not to be treated like a liar. She noted I was “non-compliant”which is also a LIE. I do everything I can to eat well, stay in shape, and control my BP without drugs. She made a potentially bad med error and prescribed me 21 pills a week instead of 3). She condescendingly stated there is no correlation between secondary polycythemia and obstructive sleep apnea (which is well documented!). She said I should see a functional medicine doctor but Vital Life Wellness has her listed as one. ??

I absolutely trust and adore Dr Wendy Askew!! She is kind, patient, and always listens to me and helps remedy my health issues. I never feel rushed, she takes her time answering all my questions. When other doctors could not take care of my health issues, Dr Askew did!! She always takes good care of me. I do, and will continue to recommend Dr. Askew to family and friends. She is a wonderful caring doctor. She is a rare gem in the medical world!

I would NOT recommend Dr. Askew! Every time I had an appointment she was running behind. I had a 2-3 hour wait my entire pregnancy to be seen for 10-15 minutes. The worst part was when she told my husband and I that she'd perform my csection early am because she was going on a trip. She made arrangements with the hospital 9 weeks in advance. 1 week prior she cancelled on me because she had a flight to catch to go on vacation! I was just a number to her and she pushed me off on another Dr.

I will be looking for a new doctor and practice after today's visit. In all the years I have been a patient of Dr. Askew's I have never waited less than an hour to see her. The front desk staff is unwelcoming and unconcerned. I don't even get a smile or hello when I walk up to the check-in desk - I have to initiate the interaction. I wish every patient would dump this practice so they'd go out of business - only then might it be considered to treat patients like valued customers.

I love Dr. Askew! She is very busy and somehow I managed to get on her schedule sometime circa 2011 and I am so glad that I did. She is very patient and thorough, never rushing to get to the next patient. She is great at listening, addressing, and explaining any health concerns and provides several different treatments. She is very easy to talk to and always makes me feel comfortable during my visits. I completely trust her and am so happy to have someone who cares so much!

I would not recommend Dr. Askew. She was pushing for me to get a hysterectomy (her nurse even called to schedule my surgery without me having a thorough discussion about this). I decided to get a second opinion. NO hysterectomy needed. He (Dr. Funk) spent at least 20 minutes talking to me. There were other options and he made me aware of them. I suggest avoiding the gyno factory. If you time your visits and listen to doctors running from room to room you see what Im talking about.
