Excellent Endocrinologist for rarer disorders
Have been a patient at Mayo Clinic for many years. My normal doctor was out of town when I wanted to come to Rochester during the summer. I saw Dr. Vella and he was excellent. Wonderful, kind personality and great bedside demeanor. Highly recommend.

Didn’t even try to help me or point me in the right direction and was rude about it.

You can't do better than Dr. Vella
Top doctor in his field. No way to know for certain but Dr. Vella's approach and clear explanations are strong indications of a very high level of expertise in endocronology. He was recommended by a community group in new york who are very meticulous in their referrals. Have seen many doctors in the past 20 years, this man impresses me the most. If you suffer from diabetes you can't do better than Dr. Vella.

Provider never asked about current symptoms, never performed any sort of physical examination, did not explain lab work her was ordering, did not provide clear explanations, very judgmental.
