Dr. Adepero Okulaja, MD

Very knowledgeable, EXCELLENT listener, has a perspective that some of her peers (fellow Internal Medicine docs) don't have. Even with very particular medical issues I have, at my first appointment, she was able to zero in on other possible underlying causes or issues. She integrates the WHOLE person into the care plan--physical, mental, emotional/spiritual.

I am a newer patient of Doctor Okulaja's but I feel like I have been seeing her for years. From day one we connected and she has shown nothing less than exceptional care for me. She listens to my requests and tries to get to the bottom of my concerns. I appreciate her and I feel she is truly looking out for my overall well-being.

Dr. O is all about treating the "whole" self, and I love that. I've been seeing her for about 10 years, and she truly cares about and takes time to get to know all of her patients.

Dr O is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I know. She is a talented diagnosition and makes it her business to stay current of latest treatments. She actually listens to her patients before rushing to judgement with a diagnosis. In my 72 years I find this a rare quality in a doctor.

Dr. Okulaja is fantastic! She doesn't treat her patients like a number as some doctors do. When you are in her office she is solely focused on you, the patient. She takes her time and goes above and beyond. She is unlike any doctor I have ever seen and I am now a patient for life.

She has always taken very good care of me. She listens attentively whenever I discuss with her and takes the time to explain what is needed. She asks questions and pays attention to my questions and concerns.

My wife made my first appointment with Dr Okulaja about 6 or 7 years ago and I am so glad she did. She has always treated me with respect and professionalism through my numerous visits. She was a bully towards me, rude to her staff, and not very helpful.

Dr. Okulaja is an exceptional physician. She has been my doctor for over 13years. When you walk into her practice, The Doctor’s house, you feel as if you’re at home right away. The staff, decor and ambience are very calming and welcoming. Dr. Okulaja is a very thorough, humane and perceptive physician. She is extremely detailed in her patient evaluation, she goes in-depth and knows the right questions to ask, the right solutions and treatment to proffer. You get excellent service and more.

I took my teenage son to see Dr. Okulajah today. He had 2 growths under his skin and my husband and I had no idea what was going on. Like all parents, my children are my absolute treasures. I could only take him to someone I knew would give him their absolute best, and I knew Dr O would. She did not disappoint. We learned so much. Her offices are gorgeous and relaxing - a welcome departure from a typical dr’s office. The staff is warm and friendly. You will get more than you expect.

I no longer have Okulaja as my Dr. She is a nice person & knowledgeable, but waiting in the examining room for 1 hr for simple 15 min appt was the last straw. I'm healthy & only see a doctor 1-2 a year. Every time I find myself waiting, 1st the waiting room for an extra 15 min, then the examining room for another 30+. I switched clinics after the last time I waiting over an hour before I left. She always apologizes, but blames appt scheduling. If you chat a lot don't accept so many appts.

With God's help, and His directing me to her, Dr. Okulaja saved my life! She is the only dr. who checked me for Scurvy and many vitamin deficiencies, which I had. She is also the one who found out I have Hypothyroidism. When she left, my heart sank. They lost the best dr., at Fairview, and we not only lost the best dr alive, but a friend. That is how I saw her. What dr insists on hugging you? I haven't been to a dr. since. I just don't trust them. I, totally, trusted her.

Dr. Okulaja is truly one of a kind. She cares for your mind, body & spirit. She wants to know about everything that is going on, always goes the extra mile and truly treats you like a member of the family. I always leave with a smile on my face, like I visited a dear friend, not just a Doctor. She's also taken more steps, to truly get me healthy, than any other Doctor I've had. I'm so blessed to have found her!
