Doctor was rough on endoscopy, lips bruised despite my daughter and I asking everyone to be gentle since we saw many reviews say the same thing. Throat scratched and swollen.

Colonoscopy – Dec 10, 2019

Dr Daas is a good Dr. He does a good job, he explains everything very well after surgery! The problem with him is that he has no respect for his Patients or Co-Workers! We have encountered on 3 different occasions in a 3 month period that Dr Daas shows up to the Advent Health hospital LATE all 3 times! My husband’s Colonoscopy (removal of 9 polyps) was scheduled for 9:30. Dr Daas arrived at 10:30. My husband was the 2nd Patient scheduled and was in Operating room at 11:36. Mind you we had to be at hospital to Register at 8:00AM. Dr Daas was a VA referral. I will be contacting VA with this information in hopes that they find a different Dr to refer VA patients to!

I arrived at my scheduled time for a colonoscopy/endoscopy and waited 5 1/2 hours and was told by staff that he arrives 2 hrs late every day. They asked me to make sure I mentioned that to the hospital rep when they called the next day. His disregard for staff and patient would make me unlikely to recommend Dr Daas.

Suffered severe throat pain and swelling after endoscopy. He told me it was an allergic reaction to penicillin. Allergist tested me and I have no allergy. Two other doctors said I was treated too roughly and the reaction was to trauma.

Dr. Daas has been my Gastro Doctor for multiple years. I was one of his 1st patients when he came to this area. I could not ask for a better doctor and he also has a superior bedside manner as well! This has got to be the hardest working Doctor I have ever seen! Coming from a family that has a history of Colon Cancer, I trust his judgement and Knowledge. When I had my Gall Bladder removed, he jumped right in and handled everything at the Hospital for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Peggy

Dr. Daas is a wonderful doctor. At first it was tough finding my diagnosis, of course that is to be expected. He worked/and is currently working on finding the best treatment for me. After one drug had failed to help, we talked through other options and he helped me decide which one was best, while also letting me make my own decision. The complaints about time management are unfair, there are a lot of patients to take care of and they do their best at getting you in on time.

Very full of himself. Please if you value your life do not go to him. He did not care about my past history of colon cancer. He basically told me all my dr were wrong and have been lying. He refused to do a yearly colonoscopy told me rule is 5 yrs. I had aggressive form of colon cancer that was caught early stage 1, 9 months later I was stage 4. This is my life and he didn’t care. Oh and he had the nurse actually try to have the appt. over the phone. Seriously to busy to even see patients?

I had a great experience with Dr. Daas. I had severe abdominal pains for 3 years going to the emergency room multiple times a month and other gastroenterologist's but I was continuously misdiagnosed and everyone thought I was crazy and that the pain was all in my head. Dr.daas never once doubted me and he was so determined to figure out was was wrong with me you can tell he is a very dedicated and caring dr.he figured out was was wrong and treated me correctly. He changed my life forever

May be a good Dr, but very poor time management skills. In order to be rated excellent you must show respect for patients and family time. Our time is as valuable as yours. Long wait for colonoscopy to begin ( 2nd time), not a one time occurrence. Unacceptable time just waiting in recovery for him to come to talk to us after procedure.
