????? Dr. Adam Tobias and his surgical team are truly outstanding. From the very first consultation for my gender-affirming top surgery, Dr. Tobias demonstrated exceptional understanding, compassion, and attention to detail. He explained the procedure thoroughly, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. The day of the surgery was seamless, thanks to the professionalism and care of his entire team. They were not only highly skilled but also genuinely supportive, funny, light, comforting making the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Their commitment to patient care was evident throughout the process. The results of my surgery exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Tobias and his team for helping me feel more aligned with my true self. If you're considering top surgery, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Adam Tobias and his incredible staff for their expertise, kindness, and outstanding patient care.

Extremely Unhelpful
I walked into the appointment ready with questions regarding a breast reduction and information about what size I am currently, the pain I've been in for 15 years, & the size I would like to be. He took photos for insurance and basically sent me on my way, telling me that I should hear back from insurance soon and we would book the surgery. Unsurprisingly, the surgery was denied by insurance because there wasn't sufficient information about why I need the surgery, no documents provided about how long this problem has persisted, and the amount documented to be removed was "not enough to be helpful". I switched to a new doctor at another medical group and was told before submitting, I had to go to PT for 6+ sessions, and the number of CCs he wrote for what would be removed were DOUBLE what Dr. Tobias wrote down even though I told both doctors the same cup sizes for what I am and where I'd like to be. I felt like I had no advocate prior to switching. Now I have doctors in my corner!

The proof is in the quality of the work that is performed. Be prepared to pay especially if it’s an elective surgery. You can not put a price tag on pure happiness and self confidence from feeling fabulous. I had tummytuck with muscle repair and lipo over a year ago. I feel so grateful for my experience with Dr. Tobias and would recommend him to everyone. Thanks again, Danielle C.

Dr. Tobias did my breast reduction last year - he is an exceptional surgeon. Very professional, I had a flawless recovery and the incision scars healed beautifully. This surgery changed my life and the results are stunning. That said, he lacks bedside manner and is not the type of surgeon who is going to be warm and fuzzy. He will answer your questions, give you all the necessary info, and that’s pretty much it. Because his work is so good, I wasn’t too much bothered by this, but if you’re looking for a surgeon with more emotional support, he may not be the best fit.

Got canceled on with no warning, no reason, and no information on rescheduling 3 weeks before my surgery was scheduled, I was told out of the blue that my appointment had to be canceled because Dr. Tobias was out on a "personal reprieve." They had hoped he would be back by my appointment date but then believed he wouldn't. I was supposed to have my surgery 2 weeks ago and they still have no idea when he'll be back. I'm a student and have no space for recovery time except for very specific windows. The lack of info on future rescheduling is unprofessional and aggravating. God knows how many people are on the cancellation waitlist because of this.

Expects $1500 if you have Medicaid and Medicare, stating they don't cover everything for top surgery, when they actually do. Abrupt, arrogant, brief, and cold during the consult. BEfore I saw him, it took three voicemails and two letters for a response. I should have known then. In the end, though he himself said the $1500 was for what MassHealth might not cover, I was told by a rude office staff the $1500 had nothing to do with the insurance. A huge waste of my doctors' and my time.

I am FtM transgender and went to Dr. Tobias to have my double mastectomy/chest reconstruction. He was brisk and blunt but polite, I got my surgery date surprisingly quickly, his staff was AMAZING, and I could not be more thrilled with my results. My chest looks fantastic. Dr. Tobias is a very talented surgeon and his main nurse, Maria, is extremely helpful when it comes to extended post-op care.

Dr. Tobias did my DIEP Flap surgery after my mastectomy. I think he did an excellent job. He is very professional and so is his office. My recovery was easier than expected which I believe is due to his excellent work. I was very happy that I had other options for reconstruction than just having implants put in. Dr.Tobias and his nurse Marie walked me through all my options which made it easy for me to choose what was best for me.

I called in March hoping to get a breast reduction before my wedding in early December, booked a consult for July, and was assured that this time frame was totally fine. In July, Dr. Tobias confirmed that I could do it by October so I'd have time to heal. After the consult, it took several weeks and four voicemails for his assistant before I managed to get her, at which point she said that the soonest they could get me in was mid-November. Now it's too late for me to find another doctor. Thanks.

After he examined my daughter, who is over weight, he told her he does not operate on people who have a BMI above 35. In my opinion a plastic surgeon should have a better bedside manner than that short statement. I assume that some of his patients have some issues with their view of their own body. I would have expected him to better present his non acceptance of her as a patient. Nope. Sent her away with a referral to a different doctor.
