I injured my back in march of 2021 and after going to urgent care and subsequent MRI, I had a severe herniated disc. I was in so much pain 24x7. Dr shuster took one look at me and said I am going to give you a steroid shot in the spinal area to hopefully give you some relief. I was on vacation from PA at the time of the injury and wanted to get back home ASAP. I had to extend my stay in order to see him and then to stay an extra 2 weeks on top of that to get 2nd shot if necessary. In a few days my pain had subsided substantially (not gone). I appreciate him seeing the level of my pain and going to the shot right away and not therapy, etc which I couldnt take. I went back for the 2nd shot since I still had some pain. In a few days after that I was able to go home. Dr Shuster had a great bedside manner and I so appreciate what he did for me. Right now, after his shots, therapy and meds, I am pain free and do not need surgery. Thanks Dr Shuster!!!

Very nice Dr. He listens to your problem, forms a diagnosis, lets you know his recommendation, & if you agree with his plan he treats you. Straight up pain management. I like that! I've had injections in my back which reduced my pain. I'll continue to see him for my pain issues. Thanks Dr Shuster!

Dr. Shuster is a good doctor. However, after two years of dealing with his imcompetent office staff, I am leaving his service. They mishandle insurance information, they lose personal documents, they make you wait months for an appointment, but worst of all they provide no assistance on those rare occasions when a problem arises between visits. Or they say they will do something, then do nothing. I have spoken twice with Dr. Shuster regarding the staff performance. Apparently he has no control over their actions. The service is not providing wholistic, comprehensive medical care. With the high cost of health care, patients deserve at least that much.

I have had a variety of challenges [CP, Arthritis, extensive Scoliosis car accident & nerve damage],causing me complex, excruciating pain. Dr. Schuster caringly, compassionately used various approaches to all of them until my pain went from unbearable to improved! Dr. Schuster has remained my pain management doctor for over seven years. He is a great man. Skilled with a kind sense of humor when that’s appropriate. I can’t say enough about how much of a difference he’s made for me!

Came in for a follow up visit, saw the PA. Billed my insurance co $170.00, Then the hospital billed $170.00 for the room. I called the hospital billing dept. I was told that the hospital always charges for the room charge for pain management patients. I asked even for a follow up when you are not seeing the Dr. Yes always. I told them we will be changing pain management Drs. Lee Memorial is not the only game in town.

My experience with Dr Shuster was excellent. He was very busy but took the time with me to explain things and answer all of my questions. He did my injection in my back and I felt very little if any discomfort. I recommend Dr Shuster for management of chronic pain.

I requested non addictive pain meds but he insisted the narcotics work.. I'd complain they made me not care & Shuster got angry at me. I couldn't lay immobile while he injected a needle down into my spine, it was terrifying & I didn't want it..I complained again that the fear I felt wasn't worth the results & I didn't want anymore done.. He started filling my chart with strange notes about my mental state as if he was preparing for a complaint I might file against him.. Terrible Dr & person
