I had my right hip replaced at Mayo Clinic by Dr Adam Schwartz. First of all, Mayo is amazing and super efficient -- the best hospital I've ever been to. And Dr Schwartz is absolutely incredible! His manner is warm, assuring and personable, and the work he did on my hip is first class!! I couldn't even put my sock on before the surgery...and now I'm pain-free and moving like the me of old! I wish I could find a PCP as good as Dr Schwartz! I've had a lifetime of not-so-great experiences with physicians and hospitals...and I tend to be cynical. My experience with Mayo Clinic and especially Dr Schwartz has renewed my faith in the medical profession. He is quite simply OUTSTANDING!! If you need hip surgery, in my humble opinion, Dr Schwartz is honestly the best of the best!

After years of suffering the painful effects of osteoarthritis in both knees, I had the good fortune to find the orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Adam Schwartz at Mayo. After meeting Dr. Schwartz, consulting with him and viewing x-rays on two different occasions, we made the decision to schedule knee replacement surgery for my right knee. Dr. Schwartz and his team took every precaution to make my surgery and recovery a success. After a recovery period and physical therapy I began daily walks and some hiking again. A year later, Dr. Schwartz replaced the left knee and that too was a success. This skillful surgeon made my daily life so much better. I exercise daily, I have no knee pain, I climb stairs, and my activities are not limited in any way. Dr. Schwartz periodically follows up with x-rays and exams of my new, fantastic knees. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz to anyone considering knee surgery.

Words can’t begin to describe how thankful I am to Dr. Schwartz for giving me my life back! Upon our first televised visit; I knew I chose the right orthopedic specialist to relieve my pain and suffering during a Pandemic. Dr. Schwartz’s empathy and caring demeanor lead me to believe he understood my concerns. The tests he ordered were performed in a timely matter to start treatment. Meeting with me a second time in his office he reviewed my CT results and demonstrated a hip prosthesis he would be inserting into my bone for a total hip replacement. In August I underwent a total hip surgery; and once again received reassurance from Dr. Schwartz in pre-op. After surgery my husband was updated; and in the recovery unit Dr. Schwartz made time to check on me as well. A few hours later I was up walking with a walker and assistance of physical therapy. I was discharged home. Dr Schwartz puts the patient first; his surgical skills are remarkable along with his bedside manner!

The care I received from Dr Schwartz, and his team, was beyond description. I felt I was their only patient of the day whenever I saw anyone. I and my family likened the hospital to a 5-star hotel. Dr Schwartz, and his team, were responsive to all my questions and needs. I had excellent outcomes (twice for two knees approximately 9 had an months apart) and I'm very grateful that my insurance covered all of my expenses for both surgeries at the Mayo. continuously tell people about my excerie

Dr. Schwartz did an amazing job on my hip replacement. I thought the incision would be much larger than it was, pain tolerance was amazing, and up and walking an hour after surgery?! Told me exactly what to expect. So happy!

I had a disseminated Valley Fever infection in my knee joint, which is a complicated and serious issue. Dr. Schwartz knew exactly what needed to be done, and has been fantastic about talking things through with me during the whole process (which has been several years now). He always made sure I understood everything, answered all my questions, and I really felt like I was a part of the decision-making process. The TKR he did is a specific, cutting-edge type of knee replacement. I am grateful.
