He seemed great-at first-then...
I liked him in the beginning, even though the wait time was hours long. I liked the way he explained things. But after a while, I was put on a medication and he doubled it. After he doubled it, I started having horrible, terrible, life-altering side effects that I still suffer from. I kept calling his office to inform him and he never called back. After about a month, I gave up calling his office. After Years, I ended up in the hospital for many days and found out I had toxic levels of that medication, which caused my medical nightmare. After some time, the side effects lessened but never went away. I am much weaker now and unable to drive as a result.

Almost killed me
I saw Dr Roth for a few years quite literally a walking zombie during that time. I collapsed at work and was taken to the hospital where I then spent 2 weeks at Shepard Pratt. For some reason, I listened to whatever he said to do, almost like I was under his spell. Thank goodness, on my own I decided to stop all the medicine and felt so much better in a very short period of time. I’m so glad I woke up and got away from him.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Roth. At my first appointment I was at one of the lowest points in my life. A friend recommended him. He has the experience and the patience that it takes to make a correct diagnosis. I wish I had found him first because I spent 20 years on medications that were actually making me worse! He took the time to really listen and I am in a much better place now. How many doctors give you their number and urge you to call them?! I hope people think before making negative comments, psychiatry is NOT an exact science, there is no “one size fits all drug”. There is no magic test to do for your specific diagnosis. Unfortunately there is no other way to know if a med will work unless you try it! Sometimes you react well and sometimes not, sometimes one pill does the trick sometimes it takes 5. I have worked in the medical field for 23 years and I assure you there is no “God Complex” here just confidence that came with years of experience.

Dr. Roth put me on so much medication I was taken from my high school to the ER via ambulance. I have no memory of this incident, but the doctors at the ER were appalled by the amount/combination of drugs I was on and told me to stop them all. Prior to this I complained to Dr. Roth that the medication was too much and the side affects were intolerable, and he continues to up dosages and add more drugs. I went to him for several years, the best thing he did for me was recommend to my parents that I try TMS and leave his practice. The comments about a dangerous God-complex and and suspicious alignments with pharmaceutical companies are spot on.

Told me I had a different condition then I really had after one 20 minute appointment. Over prescribed and medicated me for 12 years. Never had what he said I did. Nearly lost my life and my family. Been off all medication for years and back to normal, healthy self. Found out he gets paid over $100,000 a year by drug companies. Has a God like complex and will boast about all of his credentials if questioned about his diagnoses by family members or loved ones of a patient. Very dangerous doctor

Dr. Roth definitely takes the time to listen to a patient's concern and conditions. He listens for the different nuances in what the patient is telling him in order to put them on the right medical path. As a patient, I have been hesitant taking medications and I didn't feel like he was trying to throw pills down my throat. He looks at a holistic approach; Western Medical intervention with, Eastern Medicine, to the philosophy thrown in. I've been to him once, excited for the future.

I sent my son to him and he made a quick diagnosis after 1.5 hrs. No tests. Gave him a bag of samples and told him to come back in two weeks. Avoid this doctor.

Overprescribing on a level that can only be referred to as irresponsible, suspicious alignment with pharmaceutical companies and a God-complex methodology that is dangerously damaging to patients, especially those who are particularly vulnerable/volatile. Avoid this doctor at all costs.
