Dr. Adam Polifka, MD

My wife had an arterial bleed in the main artery feeding blood into the spine. Baptist in Pensacola wanted to airlift her down but were not sure she could live through the journey. We were subsequently transferred to another hospital in Pensacola and the surgeon ordered her wheelchair and told us there was a high probability she would be paralyzed for life. Not being content to take this as a "done deal" we contacted the Gainsville hospital and were soon underway where we were placed in the care of Dr. Polifka. The next day my wife was taken by ambulance, and I followed the following morning. The wife arrived at four AM on a Saturday morning and at seven AM I was on the phone via FaceTime with Dr. Polifka. He walked me through the four-step plan and on Monday took her back for a serious surgery. We were blessed and got to stop on step one. Today my wife has no impairment, Regained most of her lost memory and all because of the skills and professionalism of Dr. Polifka.

DR. SEEMS TO BE IN IT FOR THE $$$ Back Surgery for pinched nerve between L4 and 5 on 8/10/2020 1st appt. 9/30 still can't walk well, a lot of pain . Dr. says try therapy for 3 to 4 weeks if no better come back. I tried it back got worse. Called office was told sometime in January 1st appt. I said I couldn't wait that long and explained what he said to no avail. I ask for his NP or PA to call me . Nurse called back and said appt. with PA. on November 18th. I went Dr. was there but didn't see me. PA. just said sending for a MRI. Pain is excruciating called 3 times to finally get a response. Been 5 days since appt. no phone call yet about a date for the MRI. THIS DR. Does not seem to care about anything but pumping people in and out.

Dr. Polifka is a for profit surgeon who will cut you and then leave you to never be seen again. Even after requested. My wife is a 3x Cervical Spine surgery reciepient with Polifka doing the third. She is in the worse shape of her life and in extreme pain from Nerve damage. Him and Dr. Ashley Rawls make a perfect Neuro team. They should team up and destroy more patient lives. You may think Polifka is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it might be smart to get a second opinion just to be sure.

He is the only doctor I’ve seen that is caring ! He listen to you and and explains everything to were you can understand. I have seen over 22 doctors and he is the only one that cared.
