I felt compelled to share my experience with after undergoing a procedure for basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. Despite being assured it would be a small, straightforward procedure by Dr. Mamelak, the reality turned out to be quite different. The procedure ended up being more invasive than I had anticipated, resulting in the removal of a significant amount of skin and leaving me with a two-inch scar. The impact on my eye function and eyebrow movement has been lasting, affecting my daily life for almost two years now. I want to emphasize that there are alternative treatment options available for basal cell carcinoma aside from the surgical approach I underwent was barbaric. It is essential to conduct thorough research and not feel pressured into a procedure that may have significant consequences for your appearance and quality of life.

I came to this dr. because I wanted to get rid of some acne scars I have on my cheeks. I told him my main concern was the texture and he did not listen to me. He pushed a very expensive chemical peel on me which does NOT address the texture it's only supposed to address the redness. I told him multiple times I didn't care about the redness because I can easily cover that with make up but I can't cover texture. He said it would help with texture too ( a big lie ) and had me buy it. His reasoning is that he wants to go from least invasive to most invasive (he wants to try what doesn't work first to take more of your money). Avoid this dr. at all costs he does not listen to his patient's concerns. Also, his aesthetician would miss steps when applying the peel on me I had to point out things to her she was doing wrong. After all the chemical peel sessions it did not even improve the redness. Huge waste of downtime and money.
