Saw in hospital
I saw him in the hospital over covid I was admitted with failure to thrive ,.. this was due to a stomach illness that I was previously diagnosed w on record. Have no idea who sent him in but he came in one afternoon and decided I had an eating disorder I was just in denial - implied I was useless to my family as well.. would not leave my room when I first asked.. never again for me..

Did not agree with the diagnosis given and because of that he prescribed medications that are not recommended for this mental health condition.

Very caring, understanding, and enjoyable to talk to. Dr. Lake is a commonsense doctor. He doesn't suffer fools gladly. So, tell the truth!!

Effective and accessible
Dr. Lake is an excellent psychiatrist with a wide breadth of knowledge that is applied practically to medications and therapy. Dr. Lake is relatively easy to reach in crisis or emergencies and he is very effective. After a lifetime of seeing psychiatrists, I think Dr. Lake is one of the best

This review is regarding Dr. Lake. I thought someone recently out of their residency would be ideal and have the latest knowledge. Well experience matters. I sent my adult daughter to see this doctor for recommendations for medication after she requested getting help. After two visits and over $600 he said she was doing better despite her having major anxiety symptoms for years. He didn’t even recommend psychotherapy and refer her to a therapist. He was unable to realize how severe her symptoms are. He didn’t even ask to talk to parents to get info despite daughter willing to give permission. Don’t bother seeing him unless you have seen a therapist several times first who then recommends you to see a psychiatrist in order to get an accurate diagnosis and severity of impairments.
