Dr. Adam Dooley, MD

I had two total hip replacements, performed three months apart. Dr. Dooley and his team were excellent throughout. I knew exactly what to expect pre-surgery, the first surgery was much less fraught than I anticipated, and the aftercare and followup have been excellent. I had no hesitation in going forward with the second hip replacement. Dr. Dooley inspired confidence and my results have borne it out.

I had compartment syndrome in my leg and no blood could get down past my thigh due to blood clots. He gave me the faciaotomy that saved my leg and then treated the infection of Morganeli Morgani that followed. Still have that leg years later and doing awesome.

I live in Birmingham and I fell in Atlanta late on Friday night of Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, my daughter lives in Auburn and brought me to the ER at East Alabama and they confirmed I had broken my hip. I got into my room at 5 a.m.Saturday morning and before 7a.m. Dr. Dooley was at my bedside. By 10am, I had my surgery for a full hip replacement. His bedside manner is so warm and caring. He explained everything in detail. I couldn’t be more pleased with my results! I highly recommend Dr. Dooley

East Alabama is blessed to have such an excellent surgeon, with great credentials and ability. I fell and broke my hip in three places, one including my Femur. He was the surgeon on duty that Saturday night. He was at the hospital by the time the ambulance arrived and he immediately gave me a sense of well being. He scheduled my surgery for Sunday morning at 8:00 A.M. I was 73 at the time and the results have been amazing. Rather than going to Northside Hospital for my knee replacement I will be scheduling it next week with Dr. Dooley using East Alabama Medical Center.

I have been to see Dr. Dooley several times. I have been amazed at how quickly he will diagnose my problem and has always been able to fix whatever is causing my pain. He has operated on my shoulder, and it is now as good as new. He has diagnosed wrist problems for me on both wrists and with a well-placed shot had the problem repaired. Wrists are now pain free. Pain in my back; he took care of that as well. He recommended a doctor for me to visit. Problem solved. He is friendly and has great bed side manner. If you are wanting results. Go see him.

I had to walk in the office on crutches due to knee pain. I guess when Dr. Dooley looked at my x-rays and saw I didn't need a total knee replacement, his interest in me as a patient in need was dismissed. My exam was him straightening and bending my leg once. End of exam. Info requested by him where is pain and how long have you had it. End of verbal exam. I gave him 2 stars because he gave me a knee brace. What a waste of my time. I worked for a world renowned knee surgeon when I was younger. This isn't the way patients are treated.
