time for second knee
I went to Dr. Bright for the replacement of my left knee in 2018. Despite my overweight condition the procedure went spectacularly well. It's now time for my right knee to be replaced and I wouldn't consider anyone but Dr. Bright. He is a perfectionist in his surgeries. Dr. Rose Bright is available to answer any questions that might come up when Dr. Adam Bright can't be reached. On another aspect of Dr. Bright's care you get to see him and not a PA when you have an appointment. That is getting to be increasingly rare these days.

Phenomenal surgeon
I had complete knee replacement surgery in September. I did not need to use either a walker or cane after surgery and did not experience much pain or discomfort in the following days/weeks. My range of motion was excellent and I did not need outpatient therapy after the initial two weeks of home therapy. I was diligent in completing all the assigned exercises. Dr. Bright is an exceptional surgeon.

Last Appointment
Went to Dr. Bright about 10 years. The last appt was just after the Covid outbreak in 2020. I went for a Cortisone shot in my knee as I did every 6 months. He seemed insistent that I have a knee replacement the next week, when I refused, he became arrogant. Dr. left to get a cortisone shot and placed the injection above my knee instead of in the knee as always done in the past.

STAY AWAY Due to a change in insurance I came to Dr. Bright. Knee problems since 2017. Previous ortho treated knee with SynVisc 1 injections which gave me pain free full mobility for approx. 1 year. I've had 3 rounds of SynVisc with excellent results. Appt with Dr. Bright was the worst and most frustrating encounter I have ever had with a physician. Had my records sent over which he failed to review. First tells me the procedure may not work, then that a single injection regimen puts too much material into the knee, then he informs me of the risk if infection from an injection (40M/1), tells me about 15 other drugs, then he asks me about my right knee, which does not hurt. He clearly was only interested in a $40k knee replacement when an $800 injection solves my problem. Finally agreed to get authorization for SynVisc and proceeded to place an authorization for a different 3 shot regimen drug. Argumentative, ineffective, doesn't listen to his patient. First name should be "Notso".

I had hip surgery in June 2018, Dr. Bright was the surgeon, my left leg is now almost a full inch shorter than my right, due wholly to his incompetence. His response was that it would adjust over time, which is totally not true. I wouldn’t trust him to park my car, but I do think of him daily as I limp down the street.

If you need a lecture on what is obese, he is the one to make you feel embarrassed and tell you because you are obese this is why you need hip surgery. He also said that he had a perfect score on hip surgery patients and did not want me to ruin his record. He is sending me to a radiologist for a cortisone injection under a camera because he said I was obese and he did not think he could inject in the wright area.. I wanted to tell him I guess you do not watch my 600 lb life. I am 250 lbs and 5ft 7 . I will try the injection if that does not work I will look into getting a second opinion. I would be afraid to be under anesthesia with this attitude, not friendly just down wright rude.

Do NOT go to this guy if you are overweight. He was very condescending and babbled on and on about the Mao and Harvard standards. Thank you so much for telling me over and over again that I am super obese. Had you bothered to listen to me at the get go, you would have heard my request "I am STILL losing weight, and wanted to collaborate with you on what is an acceptable BMI. for surgery." Dr Bright, I hope you never suffer from a debilitating illness, and have to sit and listen to a pompous MD; if indeed there is one on this planet worse than you. Total transparancy; I started out at 525 lbs and down to 320. I will get down to 250 thanks to your pep talk, and will still be a beautiful person, inside and out. You? Not so much. And I would HIGHLY recommend going to shop at Dillards and NOT thrifting; your outfit would have won first place at a What NOT to Wear event.

Had a short experience with Dr. Bright for a hip replacement, which may have been good or not, but his staff who was handling the booking at the hospital is totally incompetent. Has no idea what is going on in the healthcare procedure, also ask what DVT means had no clue--in case the staff would read this comment, I help out"DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS"

My experience with Dr Bright's care of my knee pain has been no less than spectacular. He listened and let me know he really cared about the pain I was suffering and how it impacted my life. I am very needle-phobic, but he talked me through Cortisone shots without a problem. We tried the non-surgical route first. I have now had arthroscopic surgery on both knees, and his patience and caring leave me wondering how anyone could give him a less than stellar review. I'll happily recommend Dr B

I am into my second week of recovery for a total knee replacement done by Dr Bright. I have be n a patient of his for a number of years ...broken arm, back pain , and the progressive osteoarthritis of my knee with several attempts to ease the discomfort. I cannot say enough about the surgery experience. I have some other health issues involving DVTs and PEs so I was most concerned about developing clots. Dr Bright and his team including Dr Rose Bight followed me and planned for every step i

A very good diagnistician. However, he has an abrupt and rude disposition that makes me question if his lack of empathy is worth being a patient of his. My verdict is that his of putting and insensitive manner makes him a must avoid I will find another MD who can display a drop of human kindness.

Dr Bright has a unique personality which should not be misunderstood to be less than compassionate and keenly in tune to the patient and a supportive family's needs. He is straight to the point which some may be confused by. When needing more information before making a decision for our elderly loved one, he was promptly responsive.
