Dr. Adam Beckerman, MD

The Dr. thinks he’s a comedian I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis, borderline suicidal! Would go visit him tell him how miserable I was borderline suicidal he would say we have a plan shove more IBS meds down my throat but my stomach was paralyzed! I’d message him and his office with no response I’d have to make an appointment so he could bill my insurance company and during the visit he wouldn’t touch me as I tell him how much pain and misery I was in he’d make jokes! Then I’d go home and look at the notes on my chart regarding my visit and it was like he gave me a full exam from head to toe yet that Dunkin Donuts cup never left his hand! I got rushed to the hospital 2 months ago called his emergency line and it took them almost 11 hrs to return my call. His office never even followed up after that to see if I was still alive! Just like most dr’s nowadays this guy has no empathy and just cares about his bottom line! Why am I leaving this review today bc he denied me my meds

I went in for what I thought was a hernia, which was popped out. Dr. Beckerman was on vacation. I love Dr. Beckerman. However, since I was in pain and needed to see someone asap Deb I hope this is her name but the office manager heard me speaking to the receptionist and immediately stepped in to assist to find me someone that day. Her receptionist on the left in the surgical area was so helpful in finding different doctors and booked me a future appointment in case I could not get in. The. They went to the next level of service and brought me to Kim who is an absolute doll! I dealt with her on many occasions when I or a family member needed to see Dr. Beckerman and to no surprise when I found out I would be dealing with her to fiurther assist me I knew I would be seeing a Dr. today! She was on it immediately and was able to get me in. Very often the staff may not be so nice, but in this office they truly go out of their way for their patients! Dr. is very lucky Kathleen Pettit

Office is clean and neat. All the office staff are friendly and very attentive. They explained everything they were doing during the procedure. I was especially impressed with the Anesthesiologist who explained everything he was doing and me made feel at ease. Dr. Beckerman was professional, friendly, attentive and my procedure went well. This was my first time at Massapequa Gastro, and I highly recomend them.

Not only does Dr. Beckerman not care about his patients' needs and symptoms, but his office, especially his office manager, are unprofessional and indifferent. After making me suffer for three months with symptoms which continually grew worse and after visiting his office and going for recommended testing, no one felt the need to prescribe me medicine to help alleviate my ailments. Not only that but they lied on the patient portal stating that I had spoken with the doctor when in fact it was always office staff because he could not be bothered to pick up the telephone. It was very clear that the only thing this office and doctor wanted was to be paid by the insurance company for unnecessary office visits. Don't bother with this doctor or office. They are horrible.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Beckerman, his colonoscopy lab staff on the day of my procedure as well as his front end staff. Dr. B took his time with me, explained the procedure, explained what I had to do on my part, and was kind and caring the entire time. He gave me his complete divided attention at our follow up appointment. Thank you to one and all for a most positive procedure.

My first impression with him made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. As time went on I found out I was mistaken. Dr Beckerman is only concerned for the well being of his pocket $$$ and not his patients. I suffered for over a month under his care and he was neither concerned or helpful. I called his office several times with no response from him. His staff are wonderful people and perhaps other dr’s there are good but as for him he is tax evading criminal (google his name) who should be in jail. You have been warned proceed with caution.

Dr. Beckerman is an excellent physician. He is very clear with his diagnosis and treatment. He creates a professional, caring and smiling atmosphere. He is a unique gift to his patients. I have great confidence in him. Thank you very much for your excellent care and exceptional professional abilities. Dr. Beckerman and his team are AMAZING.

Dr. Beckerman is an unbelievable doctor as well as his staff !His concern goes well and beyond. His staff is very professional, especially his assistant Kim. He takes a personal interest in your care, follows up with phone calls, (always returns your call) , and always has options for you to discuss. He takes the time to hear what you have to say and his extremely knowledgeable. My entire family uses him.The wait time in his office is minimal maybe 10 minutes.You will see a knowledgeable doctor

Have been going to him for 4 months now, just got an endoscopy done and him and his staff are amazing. Everyone made me feel as comfortable as possible and they were all so friendly.

I have a controversial view of Dr. Beckerman. I think he is a nice and caring man who wants to see his patients get better. On the same note, he ordered ~18 tests in the short few months I was his patient and when he didn't know what the problem was, he sent me off for a second opinion. After seeing his mugshot on the news, it's difficult to feel that his incentive wasn't financial. His office staff is god-awful. I've never seen so many rude and self-centered people working in the medical field.

The best GI on LI!! Honestly you won’t find a more thorough, caring, and cool doctor. He literally took every possible step in helping me with my GI issues were it either tests or scans all done with incredible staff. Also he was honest and easy to be around which makes going to the doctor less scary. You won’t find a better more caring doctor. The only GI who actually delivered results not just guessed what was wrong. Excellent staff and location!

Dr. Beckerman is one of the best medical professionals I've ever dealt with. He listens patiently and with interest, asking clear questions to clarify the information he needs. He discusses his thoughts and evaluation, presents options and alternatives, and involves me in all decisions about my treatment. He goes out of his way to make sure I understand everything associated with my treatment plan. While throughly professional, his manner is very warm and straightforward. He follows up, too!

If you are on the look for a great GI doctor, please continue your search. My family and I have been going to him for years, got routine colonoscopies, went to him for minor IBS problems, etc. When I started having severe stomach issues, he misdiagnosed me with one of the rarest stomach disorders. I went to 4 surgeons, which further complicated the REAL issue. Once I finally found a good GI, he diagnosed me with the real issue but now I will chronic stomach issues my entire life bc of him.

Dr. Beckerman is wonderful but try getting through to someone in the office is impossible. Called and left 2 messages today so far and no call back. Called at 9:30am and 2:20 pm. It would be better if I could actually speak with a live person.
