Excellent doctor. He gets you off unnecessary meds, listens to your concerns and actually tried to understand and help you to better health. The only two downsides are that he doesn't visit hospitals and he spends so much time with each patient he runs over appointments. If you are a stickler for your appt time and want to have a 15 appointment with your physician this isn't the one. If you want one that listens and answers every question even if it takes an hour this is the doctor to have.

I was with Dr. ALTERMAN for several years. He was very knowledgeable and had good bedside manner with his patients. However, dealing with his front office could be very difficult. You could never get through with phone calls. They would request you leave a message but never call you back...very frustrating to deal with. Prescription refills were hard to get called in....just not a very sufficient running office.

Dr Alterman is a excellent Doctor. He spends time with you. He listens to all your ailments since your last visit. He has been my primary care doctor for several years. The only negative is he doesn't visit the hospitals. He always checks your medication list with any new medicine he is prescribing, to make sure their is not an allergic reaction. I highly recommend him and I have to my family and friends.
