Dr. Abram Geisendorfer, MD

My eye doctor recommended Dr. Geisendorfer. Dr. Geisendorfer told me I have cataracts. He removed the cataracts along with laser. My eyes are progressing nicely. Very efficient. And, I am not a model patient.

From initial consultation, through 2 cataract surgeries & follow up appts., Dr. Geisendorfer was professional, knowledgeable and personable. His expertise is comforting - he's a skilled surgeon & it was a quick and painless operation! The entire process is efficient and effective and all the staff in Kirksville are accommodating, patient and will happily answer all your questions. Highly recommend!!!!

I had cataracts for a number of years. Dr. Geisendorfer performed a complete exam and explained what they were and treatment options. After two years, I had the cataracts removed in both eyes. Lenses were put in to correct my vision. The procedure was explained in detail as well as options with the lenses available, use of equipment, and insurance coverage. I was provided with literature covering everything or me to read and a follow up appointment was made. I was given time to research the options, ask questions, and get a thorough understanding of what was to be done. Prior to the procedure, everything is checked multiple times, by several technicians, with different equipment and techniques. Measurements are verified the day of the procedure and it is quick and easy. Dr Geisendorfer and his staff are excellent. I had several people recommend him when I talked about the procedure, as I do now.

AWESOME - Dr. Abram Geisendorfer was very patient with me through multi eye test. Very informative with past and current problems I had, and answered all my questions verbally in a language that I could understand. Also gave me papers with clear easy to read explanation. Did not listen to needs Cataract surgery, implant rotated, had to be redone. Partners would not see me to fix when he was on vacation Can no longer drive at night. Thank God did not get other eye done. Laser surgery for scarring from cataract, went elsewhere. Churns patients, now find out poor rep with optometrists

I was diagnosed with cataracts (age 54) and was scared to death about surgery, which I needed badly. It was all new to me, having not seen a doctor in 18 years. The moment I first met Dr. Geisendorfer and his staff, they were the most friendly, caring people and put me at ease right away. Reception area, nurses, surgical techs, and Dr. Geisendorfer made the experience pleasant and not overwhelming. They sensed my anxiety and were very reassuring. I would recommend this office to anyone.
