Called for a refill due to moving and not being able to get into doctor right away and having a hard time Breathing. Nurse said he would have to be seen there in order to refill his inhalers that help him breathe. So meanwhile my husband has to wait for the VA to get him I’m in order to get inhalers, however he struggles to breathe everyday until then.

Told us we should have a DNR for my mother because of her alzheimers and breathing issues. He said she would never have a quality of life. Her hospital stay had exasperated her alzheimers. He wouldn't sign off on her getting a trach. Now that she does have a trach and is home 2 1/2 years later she is doing great. Of course with alzheimers we have good days and bad days but I am thankful for every day we have.
