Finding an internist was not easy. My husband and I are in our 60's and needed a doctor so we had tried several since ours had retired. We were lucky to find Dr. Barake. He is easy to talk too, doesn't stay on a computer during the exam and he actually examines you and asks questions and listens. He is knowledgeable and his staff is very friendly and helpful.

Just started seeing him after I was diagnosed with a DVT and pulonary embolism. Came to him and he immediatly ran numerous tests and procedures to find anything else that we might be missing. Thank God he did because we found something else. Seems to be preoactive, which is what I'm looking for. So far, he is doing a great job for me. Office staff is super friendly also.

Spent more time with his med student talking about me than listening to or talking with me while pushing to choose between 2 new Big Pharma med samples without providing the pamphlet explaining them and had I not researched them myself, I would have had potential major drug interactions if I took them. He judges the patient based on his own misconceptions because he doesn't spend the time to get to know you. Urgent Care remembers more about me than he does. Seeking a new Physician.

I am submitting this survey for my Mom, Emilia Franco Negron. Dr. Barake was recommended by my friend, a nurse. Among her reasons was the fact that he was multi lingual. Mom and I felt tis was important and he gave her adequate time during her visits. She always left feeling good because he conveyed a concerned and caring personality. She always left her appointments smiling and let everyone know, when asked, how much she liked and trusted him.
