Worst doctor I have ever had
Aside from the fact, he saw me after half an hour from my appointment time, he breeze through the results of my MRI not bothering to explain much of anything even to the point where he said it showed something and I think my kidney and I should have it looked at. However, I’ve called back three times and they’ve not gotten back to me with more specifically what he said. If you value your life, avoid this doctor.

Disappointed
I was referred to Dr. Qureshi for lower back pain to include bulging L5 disk, constant pain, and inability to sleep due to same. I met with Dr. Qureshi and immediately felt the appointment was rushed. Dr. Qureshi looked at my MRI results, and expressed his dissatisfaction that I was unable to get therapy scheduled until my meeting with him. Dr. Qureshi looked at my spine, but did not address the points of pain I specifically listed on the chart supplied by his staff. Dr. Qureshi asked me to walk and observed my gate. Dr. Qureshi pointed out a medical issue not directly related to my visit which I appreciated. I have been a patient since 2003 of Muir Orthopedics, with numerous injuries, seen by numerous other professionals always happy with the results. This visit with Dr. Qureshi was my first with him, and I must say a disappointment. No mention of a follow-up was brought up, and I felt dismissed at the end of a very quick meeting. Not sure that I would return at this point.

An Exceptional Doctor
Thanks to Dr. Qureshi for his professionalism, skills, knowledge and gentle bedside manner before and after my surgery. He’s a phenomenal doctor. I was absolutely and unequivocally terrified to have back surgery initially but Dr. Qureshi educated and calmed me of all my fears. On the day of my procedure, I had no fright or panic because I was convinced that I was in good hands and was very comfortable about the surgery. Post-surgery, I’m very happy to have had him as my surgeon and couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. This heartfelt expression of my gratitude is for an overall positive experience. I’m still healing but I feel so much better than before and I now walk upright. I am excited and looking forward to returning to my swimming and trampoline activities again in the months ahead. Once again, thank you Dr. Qureshi!

There are so many good things to say about Dr. Qureshi. His open manner put me at ease shortly after first meeting him. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t answer in regards to my back issues. When I first saw the pictures from my MRI & Xrays I wondered how on earth he was going to fix me. He explained what his plan was, how long the surgery would be, the recovery & post op care, etc in a way I could understand. It was a long surgery (8+ hours) & time in the hospital but Dr. Qureshi came by after surgery & during my stay to check on me. He is kind & caring & never made me feel anything other than cared for. Follow up visits to his Walnut Creek office were continuations of the professional care I received during the pre op - surgery - post op visits. His staff knows what they are doing & are friendly & professional too. By the way - 3 months out my back is healing as expected and my scar looks great.

Dr. Qureshi performed ACDF on my neck and I couldn't ask for a better surgeon. After decades of abusing my body in the construction trade an industrial accident ended my career. I'm still a work in progress but my successful surgery has me feeling better and will allow me a better life.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Qureshi. I was very thankful for the way I was treated by Dr. Quereshi and his staff before and after my back surgery. During this time of COVID-19 you face surgery alone. I was very nervous and they made me feel so comfortable through the entire process. The best thing is, I feel so much better. Thank you Dr. Quereshi!

Dr. Qureshi performed spinal surgery two years ago. Just saw Muir Orthopedics card and realized, I would not have been able to accomplish what I have in past two years, personally and professionally, if it was not for the treatment, I received from Dr. Qureshi. I would have been crippled and had not lead a fully functional life. He patiently educated me and my family with full details and sample cases (while maintaining confidential information) over 10 years. His team members, especially assistant Zach and Vani (of John Muir Hospital) are super considerate and professionals of highest standards. I am forever grateful.

I had a great experience with Dr. Qureshi. I was experiencing terrible sciatica pain for over 9 months and once I started seeing him I was able to get the treatments I needed, which no other doctor was trying to help me with. He is very knowledgeable and helpful about back issues. I got a lumbar microdisectomy back in April and I'm finally pain free and could not be any better. I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Q. Saved my quality of life. After 6 months of intolerable pain, lower lumbar surgery, including removal of an unknown cyst, provided complete relief over night. All of the staff at John Muir Orthopedic were great, particularly physicians assistant Zach. I would recommend this superb team in a heartbeat. They are the best!

Dr. Qureshi and his PA, Zach, were a wonderful team! After almost 4 years of pain and increasing nerve issues, nothing seemed to work and it was time for surgery. Dr. Qureshi went over my MRI with me and explained my choices and what he thought would be best. We decided on a 2 level ACDF (cervical spine surgery). He thought the sooner the better, so within two months of my first visit, he/his office set me up to have completed all my pre-op visits, helped me fill out all of the paperwork for a medical leave, and preformed the surgery. The surgery went well and I was left with very little pain in the area(s) that were causing the problems. The scar, which is on the front of my neck, was placed perfectly in the crease and 1 year later, it is barely noticeable. I was able to go back to work (as a high school teacher) 4 months after the surgery with very little issue. Dr. Qureshi and Zach made the whole experience comfortable. I am very appreciative of their care!

Dr. Qureshi needs some mentoring on his bedside manner and how to take time with patients to review their history, explain their condition and offer possible treatments. As with other reviews, he spent very little time with me and only offered pain management as a course of action. Had he taken the time to ask me questions, he'd know that previous pain management efforts caused kidney disease. He left me feeling hopeless and a bit angry. I would say do your homework if you are looking for a caring doctor that will spend time with you to provide advice and treatment options. This may not be the one for you.

What started as a nightmare turned into pain relief thanks to Muir Orthopaedic and Dr Abid Qureshi. I had back pain for years and no doctor ever took the time to figure out the cause of the pain. Other doctors and specialists prescribed medication, physical therapy, referrals to chiropractor.... but none actually gave me a diagnosis. When I finally made it to Muir Orthopaedic, the proper tests were run and I finally had a real diagnosis. When it actually came time to have surgery, Dr Qureshi and his team were amazing. Though the recovery was long and painful, Qureshi and his team actually fixed me! For the first time in years, I could walk without excruciating pain. Long story short, I could not recommend Dr Qureshi and Muir Orthopaedic enough.

Dr. Quireshi Gave me honest evaluations of the options available for my lower back issues. The surgery option I chose was a complete success. With prescribed physical therapy I am pain free and have returned to full activity. The staff I encountered along my path where concerned for my well being, caring and professional. I will not hesitate to recommend Muir Orthopedic; particularly Dr. Quireshi, Zack and the office staff. Five stars!

I broke my back in a ladder accident and needed back surgery. I needed a plate in front, and pins down the back of my spine installed. Dr. Qureshi was able to perform both surgeries in the same day which greatly aided in my quick recovery. after physical therapy, I am back to work full time. I believe that it was the skill and dedication of DR. Qureshi and Muir Orthopedic that kept me out of a wheel chair.
