Bad Doctor, only cares about the money not you!
I made an appointment for my yearly physical in December 8 weeks ahead. I had already decided to change doctors on my Cigna Insurance. Which the new doctor would begin in January. When the office girl was checking me in she said she couldn't find my insurance. But she would keep trying. They called me back to a room. The doctor came and started talking to me, when he was asked to step outside the room. When he came back he seemed mad. He asked me why I was there. I told him for my yearly physical and he told me he didn't have time to give me a yearly physical and I'd have to reschedule. Which I couldn't believe he was saying. He ask was there anything else. I told him I was going to ask about my toe. He just looked down at my toe and said it was fine and left. Shortly after I received a bill for $91.00. You see my yearly physical is free with my insurance. They told him I was changing doctors and he was going to get the last bit of money he could from me.

Decent doctor, but issues
Dr. Mitchell is a decent enough doctor. I've been going to him for several years now, and his listening and time with the patient has improved. However, as his practice has grown, he just seems to have too many patients. It's hard to get an appt. with him, and I have not had a great experience with his NPs. The follow-up at this office is lacking. They are always pushing the app on patients, yet answering messages or posting results/notes after visits takes days or weeks, even. If they order you to see someone or get a follow-up test at a different facility, be prepared to wait and wait and have to message or call to get something done. Dr. Mitchell is close by, but I'm going to start looking for a doctor who is more available and whose staff manages communication better.

11/10 Saw to report syncopal episodes with falls. Referred for MRI (11/12) and Neurosurgeon—couldn’t get that until 2/1. Also to be referred for ENT appointment. Have called twice regarding no contact by ENT. Last call I was told I would be called right back. Didn’t happen/been 8 days. Have since fallen with injuries approximately 9 times. Scheduling prevents a hurried appointment. I need a physician, not an NP.

Dr. Mitchell and all his staff have always been very carrying and kind to me. They are a very busy practice but still find the time to do what needs to be done with each patient. Its especially hard right now, dealing with the pandemic and the regular practice. I can never imaging Dr. Mitchell being rude to anyone.

This man is terrible. He treats my elderly mother like crap. He makes her cry by talking down to her, tries to treat her diabetes but has no IDEA what he’s doing, reads her charts incorrectly and literally tells her she’s going to die and he “hopes she has a heart attack bc a stroke would just make her a vegetable” and then tries to joke with her! Very inappropriate and terrible bedside manner. Would NEVER recommend him. She only sees him bc he’s all that’s covered under her insurance. His staff is lovely tho.

Dr. Mitchell has been my primary physician for several years now. He also was the primary for my Dad, and is primary for my mom and husband. He is very professional, yet caring and honest. He makes you feel as if you and your issues are important and is very concerned and determined to get you in the best health as possible. I have also recommended several friends to him and they love him also. Even if i had to pay completely out of pocket, I would not change primary drs.
