Dr Forbes replaced both of my wife’s hips (2022 and 23) and he just did my right hip last week. Immediately after surgery, the hip and sciatic pain I was suffering from for years was gone. The quad muscles are still sore but that’s to be expected for a while. Dr Forbes is truly professional and skilled and he thoroughly explains things every step of the way. Both my wife and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Forbes performed a total knee replacement on me in June 2024. 3 weeks later and I am walking without a cane. As a surgeon, Dr. Forbes performs these types of surgeries hundreds of times but handled my surgery with a personal touch, knowing how fearful I had been as an older patient. With God's help and the skill of Dr. Forbes, I am walking without help, and my quality of life has been restored. He and his staff and the staff at Morristown Hospital exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Forbes to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.

Dr Forbes is a patient, caring surgeon who listens to your concerns and asks the right questions. I had my hip replaced last year and have had zero issues with the hip and have been able to return to my normal activities with No Pain!! My hip joint was severly chewed up by osteoarthritis and was a 10 level pain by the time I had the operation. I had put off having an operation for 2 years which was a big mistake. Hello, my name is Angela C, I’ve been a patient of Dr Aaron Forbes for about 2 and a half years. He successfully gave me a healthy happy right hip joint about 2 years ago. I can genuinely tell a prospective client that I would have had Dr Forbes replace my right hip 5 years ago! I had such a great recovery and the best part for me, NO PHYSICAL THERAPY! Yay! No more scheduling appointments , looking for parking, waiting for my turn… actually Dr Forbes is a serious doctor who gets the scope of the surgery and he knows what will work best for you and what won’t. I didn’t want to have any PT, he said that was fine, I just had to walk as much as possible, The level of pain after surgery (my scar is perpendicular, about 1.5-2” and intersects right where the panty line is at the top of the thigh.) . Dr Forbes is open minded, doesn’t mind the, “I googled everything about this symptom etc” questions . His bedside manner is reserved, but he is professional, secure, confident and exacting. Tho

A big shout out to Doctor Forbes Had a knee replacement in middle of December with a great outcome. Within 6 weeks walking without any assist from a cane and walking up down stairs simultaneously 2 weeks later. As with any surgery there will be some ups and downs with PT but you just need to keep pushing through and the outcome will be a very positive experience

Dr. Forbes and his staff are absolutely fabulous. In August 2018 Dr. Forbes replaced my left knee. While the process was not easy, I had an excellent recovery and was pleased to be out of pain. A year later, Dr. Forbes performed a right anterior hip replacement and the result was life changing. At about two o’clock in the afternoon after surgery I was up and walking pain free. The recovery has been easy. He is extremely professional, and focused. He readily answered all of my questions, and included me in a devising a care plan. I believe he is uses the most up-to-date techniques in his surgery. His staff is top drawer and pleasant. I would highly recommend him to anyone and have done so numerous times!

Dr Forbes gave me my life back. After 2 years, two knee revisions, 1 of which I developed an infection from, I was still in pain and knew there was something still wrong. My Dr at Cedars Sainai in Los Angeles wanted to do yet a 3rd revision, in just 2 years. Being an Engineer, I knew they may have been fixing the effect, but weren't addressing the cause of the problem. I decided to fly to New Jersey and see Dr Forbes and the great staff at Tri-County Orthopedics as Im from the east coast and had heard about the great Doctors at Try County. The minute Dr Forbes heard my story and looked at my knee, he said he bet I still had the infection and it was deteriorating the bone, thus causing loosing of the implant. Blood tests confirmed it. He first took out the old implant and put me on antibiotics for 3 months. When my time was up we retested and no more infection. I underwent my final revision on 9/18/19 and in only 2 weeks I'm feeling amazing. I can't thank Dr Forbes & his staff enough!!

I broke my hip and was rushed to Morristown Memorial even though I asked not to be. Dr. Forbes was the only doctor we could find. During the hip repair he made a serious error--he actually broke a bone of mine . When I awoke in terrible and unnatural pain and requested a CT scan, it showed a fracture. Dr. Forbes was not going to tell me but once i brought it up, he admitted it.. He made a mistake during surgery and broke a bone of mine. My rehabilitation as been a nightmare , and I don't know if I will ever be normal. His response and that of the head doctors in the hospital was , essentially, that it happened and that was just tough for me. Since then I have been in agony with many side effects. I have been to other orthopedists, one of whom said "He chopped you up." I was transferred to another hospital to try to determine if the operation needed to be performed again. I decided to wait a year to see if I could rehab and avoid another surgery. We'll see. I wouldn't use him.

Excellent doctor and surgeon. I had a total knee replacement one year ago and an extremely happy with the results and professional and personal care that Dr. Forbes provided. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking this procedure.

Dr. Forbes recently did an anterior total left hip replacement on me. I was in agony for months prior to seeing him for a second opinion. I decided to stay with him as I liked his manner and approach. I was up walking within hours of my surgery! I cannot thank him enough for giving me my life back and can recommend him without hesitation!

Dr Forbes is a great listener. He is positive, respectful, patient, and anterior hip replacement is his specialty. My total anterior hip replacement by Dr. Forbes could not have gone any better from the pre-operative visit to a great recovery. The staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital were also awesomely skilled, knowledgeable and caring.
