A good doctor who treated me unkindly
I’m very disappointed with Dr. Bellows. I will say, he has been an excellent gastroenterologist and has helped me. However over the past two years I have developed a serious, chronic debilitating illness that also renders me immunocompromised. I asked him, as a “favor” to me, to wear a mask for the 10 minutes we would be meeting. If I were to get covid it could seriously delay my recovery further and make me even more ill. Even a cold would be bad.He refused saying it would be uncomfortable for him. I was confused as to why he would put ten minutes of discomfort over the safety and well-being of a patient in addition to just alleviating my anxiety. I was wearing a mask which he said was enough. Not the case. I told him I thought his actions were unkind and he threatened to not see me again, even walking out of the room and complaining to other staff. I’ve had strangers be kinder.

Best Gastroenterologist in NJ
I had seen 2 different gastroenterologists within a 1 year span before Dr Bellows and both did an endoscopy on me but didn't find anything and disregarded me. When I had my endoscopy with Dr. Bellows he did a biopsy and found that I had Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which both my previous Doctors had missed, Dr. Bellows is an amazing, attentive, and very knowledgeable unlike most other doctors.

100000/10 hands down best doctor
Dr Bellows is extremely helpful and is patient. He will listen to your problem, help you understand the procedure unlike all the other doctors that are always in rush and never pay attention. He has great bedside manners!! You won’t regret scheduling a visit.

I am never going back. I went to my appointment and waited about 15 minutes in the waiting room with my infant while the nurse talked to the receptionist about their personal issues. Then I go into see the doctor for only 10 mins and he charged me a level 4 appointment. When I called to talk to someone about it they were rude.
