Biography: I approach treatment from a holistic point of view. I am a strong believer of the influence of our lifestyle on our emotions and vice versa. With my patients I use a combination of medication and psychotherapy. The psychodynamic approach is a great part of my assessment and treatment which allows me to fully and better understand my patients. I am an internationally trained psychiatrist with basic medical education in Romania. I received my adult psychiatry training at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and then completed the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Children™s National Medical Center in Washington DC. I lived and practiced medicine and psychiatry both in Europe and United States. During my career I practiced and served as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University in Romania. My teaching career continued as a Clinical Instructor and Supervisor at George Washington University of Medicine for medical students and Walter Reed psychiatry residents. I have continuous involvement in the teaching /training/supervision of other medical providers including the nurse practitioners. I worked as a psychiatrist on the East Coast (New York, Washington DC and Massachusetts) for 10 years. For the past few years , I have been involved in leadership programs at Pacific Coast Psychiatric Associates- Lifestance both in clinical and research practice._x000D_ _x000D_ I am fluent in Romanian, Serbian and understand French and Spanish.
