Stage 4 Cancer Please Read
From the beginning there was no empathy. We were told my husband would die and his cancer was terminal. In my opinion they didn't always give my husband the best treatment because they knew his cancer was terminal. This was always a factor in my opinion. The scheduling desk was closed for months. Getting an appointment for treatment was difficult. The people who check in are not always nice. If your loved one has stage 4 cancer, please find a doctor and practice who will do EVERYTHING to save and/or prolong your loved one's life. This practice is NOT it. In the end, we had my husband transferred to Duke where he lived another 3 weeks. My oncologist, Dr. N. Jay refused to do anything else for my husband's cancer for his own reasons. Both options endpoint were the same so why not try to prolong his life? Why stop treating him if the outcomes are the same? Research your loved one's cancer. Research the best place to take him or her. MD Anderson in Texas is amazing. VOA is not it! RUN
