Beware...USMD will NOT tell you if the Dr. you will be seeing is in network or out of network . You will not know until you get an out of network bill! In September USMD North assigned me an in network Dr. In October they gave me an out of network Dr. and charged much, much more than my co-pay. Makes you wonder if they are interested in patients or just money? The Tx Dept. of Insurance says it is the providers responsibility to tell the patient if the Dr. is out of network. After several calls and letters to USMD the billing department told me there was nothing they could do as services had been rendered! Be careful, always find out ahead of time if the Dr. is in network, don't rely on the Dr.s office to be upfront.
