Failure to be Upfront
I’ve been a patient here for years. Upon my check in, I presented my insurance card and signed some forms. No mention of insurance issues. After my appointment, upon check out, I’m told they do not accept my insurance… Something that would have been helpful to know 20 min earlier!!! Making matters worse they offer me a reduced cash amount if I pay in full today or I can submit to my insurance and “see what happens?” That’s what you like to hear your doctors office say. Then, I’m told the amount is over $300 for a mole check because they added a new patient fee. “But I’m not a new patient,” I exclaim. “New insurance, new patient “ was the reply. Stay Away! The doctor I saw was nice and I had no issues with him.
