Sun River Health

I had an urgent need to see a dentist. Sun River Health is the only provider in the area that accepts United Health Care Community Plan Insurance. I waited almost 2 months for an appointment at another location only to have it cancelled less than 12 hours before the appointed time. A week later I was able to book an appointment at the New Paltz Clinic. Entering the clinic was a scary experience. It was very difficult to understand what the staff was saying at all times. The Doctor was the most concerning. After a single view radiograph was taken, she looked into my mouth and tapped the problem tooth with the mirror and asked, "is this the one that hurts"? She then told me I needed to go elsewhere and provided names of other providers. In hindsight, I would be more comfortable asking my veterinarian pull the tooth than return to this clinic.
