I went here to get my hormonal IUD removed. I was told my period would be irregular for 1 to 2 cycles and I would be back to normal. After 5 cycles of heavy bleeding (changing a fully soaked super pad every hour), terrible cramps, and pain I called a nurse line and they told me to call my doctor asap. When I called LVAWC, I was transferred to the nurses station who said that the doctor told her to tell me this was normal after iud removal and there was no need to come in. If the bleeding continued another 3 months, then give them a call back. I got completely brushed off, but trusted the doctor. It got worse. I went to another doctor instead. Turns out it was a tumor. Thanks a lot doc. I would NEVER go back and have been telling all of my friends to find a different doctor. Can’t trust someone who brushes you off like this with valid concerns. (New doc also said that this is NOT normal and a HUGE red flag. Ladies, if you’ve been given this advice, please don’t let them brush you off.)
