Disappointment in Seeking Referral to Orthopedist
I was seen by PA Maureen Jones on August 15, diagnosed with tennis elbow, and referred to a physical therapist. After 6 visits with the physical therapist, we agreed that it would be helpful to get a referral to an orthopedic doctor. However, when I contacted Pamlico Medical Center for a referral, I was told that I would need to make another appointment to get a referral. The next appointment is in three weeks, just to get the referral. Then I will have to wait to see the orthopedic doctor. I think this wait is unnecessary and very frustrating.
