As a longtime patient with three children at this practice, I reached out privately with a respectful message after seeing the office post political content—despite stating that politics don’t belong in healthcare. Instead of responding professionally, I was blocked.This is the same office that closely followed CDC guidelines during COVID—masking young children, supporting school closures, and encouraging vaccinations for kids. Whether you agree with those policies or not, they had a major impact on children and families.Now, when parents raise thoughtful questions about rising autism diagnoses or unexplained health concerns in kids and teens, there seems to be little willingness to engage in open, honest dialogue.Parents deserve providers who listen, communicate, and respect diverse concerns—not ones who shut down the conversation entirely.If your pediatrician can’t engage respectfully with longtime families, it may be time to find one who will.
