Discriminatory late policy
I have been a patient at this doctor’s office for 33 years. I recently had a baby and have been struggling with postpartum depression. I made an appointment to get help and was 9 minutes late for my appointment. They rudely asked if I called and let them know I was going to be late. I said no because I was rushing here and my newborn pooped on the way out of the door. They told me I could not be seen. I left the doctor’s office in tears covered in breast milk and poop from my newborn. It’s hard enough being a new first time mom, but to be treated as if I didn’t matter when reaching out for help with my mental health is diabolical. When called the office manager to speak about my experience, she was extremely condescending and could not give me a straight answer about the late policy. I asked numerous times where I could read up on this policy so this wouldn’t happen again and she had no answer on where this policy was located.
