Unfortunately, my long time, tried and true dentist retired and I searched for a local option. My wife and I both decided to give this practice a try. It was quickly apparent that their accounting and billing was either dysfunctional or dishonest. It was determined that one of us would have to find another dentist in order to distinguish services and bills. After being told I had to prepay for an expensive service and being told I was paid in full, I received another bill. I asked for a more detailed bill explaining the service and which patient. Instead, a month later I got a dunning phone call. I paid, although I doubted it was owed. I kept a subsequent appointment for a service I know was covered by insurance. Since I had already been hit with an arbitrary change, I asked them to sign and date a statement that they did accept my insurance plan. They would not, even though they verbally acknowledged accepting the plan. I chose to leave without the service being performed.
