Scheduling was prompt. Eye care excellent. Clean office environment (have visited 2 offices). Office staff is efficient and generally friendly. Only issue: wait to begin exam was more than 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time in spite of arriving early. However, the overall experience was exceptional and would highly recommend.

I've been going to Illinois Retina Associates for approx. 10 years now. The Staff is friendly and professional and wait times are not bad, but can vary due to patient work load. My Ophthalmologist had determined years back that I needed to see a Retina Specialist due to the changing vision in my left eye. It was then I contacted Illinois Retina Associates. The condition I was later diagnosed with as having in my left eye is known as "Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion with Macular Edema". This condition causes leakage and swelling in the Macula which distorts and impairs the eye's vision. Fortunate for me, my right eye is not affected with this condition. With the help of Dr. J. Civantos in monitoring my condition along with injection treatments, we've been able to slow further vision loss and deterioration, gaining some improvement allowing me to retain the vision I still have. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Illiniois Retina Associates to others.
