CSRA Endodontics

On August 8, 2022 I got a Root Canal from Dr Olson. Previously I had contacted CSRA Endodontics because my dentist said I had an abscess and needed a root canal and suggested Dr. Olson because I had been there previously. The office then said he could work me in his schedule. I asked what the charges should be and was told $1495. I asked if they accepted United Concordia dental insurance and she responded yes and I said that was great because my insurance would pay 40% of the charges; however, when I checked out the charges were $1655 and I would have to pay $1296. The office admin lady then informed me they did not accept United Concordia as Primary Insurance. Why didn't she inform me of this on my initial call when I said they would pay 40% of the charges. This is an unethical practice that everyone should know about. I would have never made the appointment if I knew they did accept United Concordia as a primary insurance.
