Pembroke Pavilion Psychiatry

Tried to schedule my child for a visit with a psychiatrist, came into the office & saw a LMHC instead. Within 15 minutes of talking she decided my child had ADHD (which I probably agree), but how could she know after 15 minutes of talking. Then she said we will have to get weight #s each time we came in so we know that the meds we are starting are not causing weight loss. We both expressed a desire to work on this behaviorally and she just kept pushing the meds. She kept saying to my child to just try it one time and see if it doesn't help you "feel better". She said the meds were non-dependent. Just to shut her up I told her to send the RX to our pharmacy and left there with NO intention of giving those drugs to my child. I went to the pharmacy and got more info and found the LMHC had lied to so about the drugs. If your intent is to get your child out of your hair and not have to deal with their issues, this is the place to get your child hooked on unneeded drugs.

We could not be happier with Sabrina Mautner (LMHC) personalized and caring approach. We feel understood and supported. She says what is needed firmly, yet in a way that we can dig it in, no matter how hard and difficult it might be. Kannis and Iraida at the front desk have always been very nice and helpful.

Overall terrible. This is solely a profit-based organization that does not care about the improvement of their patients. The staff has no understanding of the phrase "patient care" or "customer service". My appointments have been mishandled on countless occasions (they do not record the accurate date and times - then push your dates/times to what most accommodates them, regardless of your schedule). The operational aspect of the office is completely outdated, the receptionists are unorganized, unprofessional, and rude. The "office manager" has absolutely no idea on how to handle her staff nor patient concerns - when my concerns were communicated to her, she became offended, enraged and hung up on me! Ultimately there is no consideration for the patient's wellbeing, which is absolutely shocking, as this is a mental health facility and the organization is poorly managed with even poorer customer service. I left Psych4U today with a bright future at my new provider!
