Both my wife and I have had spine surgeries with Dr Davidson. We were treated with nothing but respect and are so greatful to have our normal Iives back. From the office staff, scheduling, insurance issues and PT to an amazing group of doctors I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I can't emphasize enough how appalling my experience with Orthopedic Associates of West Florida (OAWF) has been. If you're considering seeking treatment here, I urge you to think twice before subjecting yourself to their incompetence and disregard for patients.Communication is a foreign concept to OAWF. Attempting to reach them via phone, email, or even leaving voicemails is as futile as yelling into the void. They've mastered the art of ghosting patients, with absolutely zero responses to any form of communication. It's as if they've taken a vow of silence, except it's at the expense of their patients' well-being.Time means nothing to OAWF. They treat it with the same level of importance as a discarded piece of gum on the sidewalk. Not once, not twice, but three times they canceled my scheduled surgery without bothering to inform me. Imagine my surprise when I showed up at the surgery center, ready to undergo a procedure that had been meticulously planned, only to be met with the

Communication is non-existent. Phone calls, voice mails, emails yield NO response. They have no respect for patient's time. They order prescriptions without even telling the patient and then neglect to execute them properly, leaving the pharmacy trying to get the patient to get hold of a provider to issue the proper paperwork. Then of course the provider and staff never respond. I'm going to have to ask my PCP if I can get referred to a better ortho practice and start all over again with my care.

Not enough characters to post an in-depth review, but very dissatisfied, as Dr. Cottrell put his own diagnosis, which differed from my first diagnosis, without consulting with the previous doctor for any report or doing an MRI. That resulted in his affiliated PT department doing things like 3-5 minute massages to loosen the muscles around the knee, that weren't covered by insurance, because of his diagnosis and insurance code. The massages are billed to insurance at $150 (3-5 minutes here, calculate out the hourly charge!!!), but if you object they will reduce the amount to $27.97 per visit, as that is the amount that my insurance would have covered under a different code. I paid it because the nuisance value isn't worth it. Hopefully this review will educate others to the huge ripoff/fraud being perpetrated on consumers and insurance companies. When I went for a third opinion, the PT office quickly discharged me, saying I had improved drastically. I won't be going back there.
